2) A helicopter was hovering at an altitude of 110 feet above sea level. It descended 50 feet to avoid wind turbulence. How far above sea level is the helicopter?
3) The temperature at 5 a.m. in New York is 56°. The temperature rose 23 degrees by 1 p.m. What is the temperature at 1 p.m.?
4) At 7:00 A.M., the temperature was 3°C. By 11:00 A.M. the temperature had increased 11°C. What was the average hourly change in temperature?
5) At 6:00 PM the temperature was 78° in Minnesota. A cold front moved in and the temperature proceeded to decrease 8° each hour. What was the temperature at 9:00 PM?

A spruce tree measured 14 feet tall when it was planted in 1989. In 2013 it was grew to 134 feet tall. What was the average yearly growth rate of the height of the tree?
