The arrival of persons who cl early appear to be the principal<;, accomplices in, or victims of, such tmflic 1'lwll be notified, when it occurs, cither to the authorities of the place of (\C!itin.:1-lion, or to lite Diplomatic or Con~ular Ag<'llt':> intcrested, ur to a ny other competcnt authorities.
Article 3. The Governments undertake, when the ca.'>e
rl.rises, and within legal limits, to have the declarations taken of women or girls of foreign nationality who arc prostitutes, in order to establish their identity and civil status, and to discover who ha!'. caused them to lca\'e their country_ The information obtained shall he communicated to the authorities of the country of origin of the !'aid women or girls, with a vicw to their cvenlllal repatriation .
The Governments undertake, within legal limits, and as far as can be done, to entrust temporarily, anrl I\'ith a view to their eventual repatriation. the vict ims of a criminal traffic when destitute 10 public or private charitable institutions, or to plivate individuals offering the neccssary security,
