OUR MISSION …Is to engage current and future leaders in business, government and nonprofit sectors to work together with communities, and to become agents of change who inspire others and foster prosperity in diverse community settings.
WHO SHOULD APPLYIndividuals in leadership positions, in particular nonprofit leaders, social change activists and people involved in the national service-learning movement.
WHAT THE PROGRAM OFFERS• Gain a broad understanding of public policy, program development and best practices in leadership and engagement.
• Be prepared to conduct outreach and build partnerships with civic, business and community organizations.
• In this unique social lab, engage with communities as part of the coursework.
• Work with Luma Institute for a human-centered-design approach to community engagement.
• Be part of a small student cohort.
WORKING WITH DIVERSE FACULTYLearn from faculty with a range of scholarly expertise and leadership abilities in this interdisciplinary program. Faculty research interests and expertise include leadership, public administration, community development, communication, social change, marketing, economics, fundraising, program development, sustainability, social work, sociology and psychology.
