What timetables do we know about?

Timetables are used to help people organise their time.

Can you think of any examples of timetables? Think of any times you or your family have used them and why they were helpful.

Class weekly timetable- Answers

Look carefully at the timetable and answer these questions in your jotter:

1. How many times does P4 do Guided Reading in a week? 3

Look carefully at the train timetable. It shows the names of the stations that the train stops at, in order, and the times it arrives at each one.Try and answer these questions in your jotter:

Look carefully at the train timetable. It shows the names of the stations that the train stops at, in order, and the times it arrives at each one.Try and answer these questions in your jotter:

Task 3: TV Timetable

Look carefully at the TV Guide. It shows the starting time of TV programs on 2 different channels. When the next program starts, you count that as the finishing time for the program before, eg.Casualty starts at 7.30pm and finishes at 8.15pm, when the News and Weather starts. Therefore it is 45 minutes long.

Please answer these questions in your jotter:

1. What time does ‘Match of the Day’ start and on which channel?

2. How long is ‘Inspector Morse’ on for ?

3. How long is the ‘Live Music Special’ and on what channel?
