Understanding and Accommodating Disability Defined Disability is defined as:

Having a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity (e.g., walking, talking, eating, breathing, seeing, etc.),

Having a record of such impairment, or

Being regarded as having such an impairment, even when no limitations existThe Office of Disability Resources (DRC) establishes thorough measures to determine whether a student has a qualified disability.
