Be involved with screening/interviewing/hiring of key staff (MHS and MMS principals)5+ days of transitional meetings in district between outgoing/incoming Superintendent and Associate Superintendent1 day of organizational meetings between incoming Superintendent and Associate Superintendent1 day of budget planning meetings between incoming Superintendent, outgoing Superintendent, and Assoc SuptBoard meetings: Superintendent will listen on conference call and/or will be presentSuperintendent will participate in new Board member training days (May 6, June 3, and June 16)Superintendent will collaborate and plan with Director of Instruction as neededSuperintendent will attend administrative team retreat (June 4-5)

July

Superintendent will meet individually with each board memberSuperintendent will meet individually with each director and district office staff memberSuperintendent will tour each building and meet with each principalSuperintendent and director and Assoc Supt will establish 2015-2016 BudgetSuperintendent will learn existing systemsSuperintendent will meet with local mediaSuperintendent will host one or more meet and greet sessions for staff, business leaders, and community members

August

Superintendent will facilitate District Administrative Team meetingsSuperintendent wiill begin bi-weekly 1:1 Director/Superintendent meetingsSuperintendent will be involved in new teacher trainingsSuperintendent will lead all staff back to school meeting (August 11th)Superintendent will visit each classroom when school is in sessionSuperintendent will meet with legislatorsSuperintendent will meet with local officials (i.e. City Administrators, Chamber Leadership, etc.)Superintendent will meet with MEA officersBoard retreat / goal setting (first 90 days plan)

Fall - Winter 2015

Superintendent will establish a student and staff advisory councilSuperintendent will establish SMART goals with each principalSuperintendent will visit each classroom (2nd time) Superintendent will begin monthly 1:1 Principal/Superintendent meetings in the buildingsBased on input and observations, Superintendent will begin formulating future plans and goals.
