    Timing: The presentation should be no longerthan 30 minutes

    Be sure you have the approval of your chairfor everything in the presentation

    Practice multiple times

    Practice with your chair prior to the defense

    professional

    Use an easy to read font

    Use figures and tables

    DO NOT! Do not add slide transitions, animation or sounds

    that are distracting Do not crowd slides with excessive text

    Present enough detail to be convincing, but not somuch that you get lost in the weeds!

    Use tables and figures from your dissertation.

    Address how the findings relate to the research

    questions and hypotheses (if you have them).
