Display Screen Equipment (DSE) and Risk Assessment Introduction: Computerised systems are now commonplace in today’s working environment, regardless of the type of business or job you are employed in. The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations set out the specific minimum requirements for persons who work with display screen equipment. This course has been designed to provide practical information on the implementation of these requirements, including guidance on analysis of workstations, daily work routine of users, eyes and eyesight, provision of training. Objectives: This course aims to provide delegates who use display screen equipment on a daily basis, with the knowledge and ability to assess their workstation with regards to any potential risk to their health and safety, which will enable any necessary corrective actions to be implemented accordingly. Who Should Attend: Managers, supervisors, Company Safety Executive, Health and Safety Representatives, and general DSE users. Programme: General overview of the Regulations and associated legislation The Workstation Display Screen Keyboard Work desk and surface Work chair and footrests Environment Software packages DSE and the effects on health Other factors for consideration such as epilepsy, pregnant women. DSE Assessments in the workplace. Duration: 1/2 Day NOTE:The content of this course can be extended to incorporate company assessment procedural controls as part of the core subject area. On successful completion of the course delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance. Courses may be held at your premises or at a venue of your choice.
