disguised justification

Harry Mills Disguised The inspiration of “disguised” predominately came from undiscovered musicians who are as talented as those who are famous but have disguised themself within every day life. I set out to write a song about those who are not noticed but it slowly re-directed into a song about unknown artists who are worthy of being noticed. The generalist statements in the lyrics in the first verse are directed at musicians that have been dropped from their record label or have been rejected and it is stating that the world of music has moved on without them. The proceeding lines in the first verse are directed at the disheartened musicians who are slowly loosing belief in what they do and their aspirations in their career. The bridge then opens up the song and shows the sympathy and empathy towards these abandoned musicians to then going into the chorus explaining the relatable feeling of rejection and invisibility. The second verse then describes the record label and the “change of personality” and mood throughout the company after the musician has been rejected. The second part of verse two is a pep talk the musician is having with himself “I know your hiding, so come out of skin”, building himself up to show them what he has got to offer the record label to see if they would sign him back. Although the tone and mood of the song is very negative and minor I wanted to create irony by using major arpeggios to influence the theme of “everything turns out good in the end”. Overall I wanted to convey the feelings of not being wanted and rejection, which come across creating an invisible and “disguised” character. Lyrics People change then they move on, I was left behind. People hide their feelings, They just say “I’m fine”.

Disguised

The inspiration of disguised predominately came from undiscovered musicians who are as talented as those who are famous but have disguised themself within every day life.

The second verse then describes the record label and the change of personality and mood throughout the company after the musician has been rejected. The second part of verse two is a pep talk the musician is having with himself I know your hiding, so come out of skin, building himself up to show them what he has got to offer the record label to see if they would sign him back.

Although the tone and mood of the song is very negative and minor I wanted to create irony by using major arpeggios to influence the theme of everything turns out good in the end. Lyrics

People change then they move on,

I was left behind.

People hide their feelings,

They just say Im fine.

And I know what its like to be see through,

Completely see through,

Embarrassed of your appearance.

Disguised.

People come and they go,

Change of personality.

I know you are hiding,

So come out of your skin.

And I know what its like to be see through,

Completely see through,

Embarrassed of your appearance.

Disguised.

Disguised.

Disguised.

Disguised.
