ABSTRACT

E-learning solutions have changed the way of teaching methods and learning styles of students. And

in modern education we need innovation approaches in teaching methods at our universities and

colleges. Authors mainly use qualitative methods including synthesis and inductive and explanatory

methods.

The study results show us that not only in companies and banks, but also in schools and universities,

teachers and students can take advantage of Internet of things (IoTs) to connect via internet and

deliver lecture notes in a system that saves transportation cost and money for learners. Hieu, L.T.,

Huong D.T., Huy, D.T.N et al (2021) mentioned that assessing the behavior of learners in the class

from the video combined with a number of algorithms brings high accuracy. On that basis, adjust the

content and teaching methods suitable for each learner.

Moreover, this study also presents technology application such as video camera to observe learners

behaviors and attitudes in order to modify teaching plan to suit to their needs. Last but not least, IoTs

and AI applications in education also need to be enhanced to improve learners attitude, skills and

knowledge (ASK) for jobs.

Online education (also known as e-learning) is a method of virtual learning through a networked

device to a server in another place where electronic lectures and necessary software are stored.

/request/problem for students to learn online remotely. Teachers can transmit images and audio via

broadband connection or wireless connection (WiFi, WiMAX), local area network (LAN).

Expanding, individuals or organizations can create their own online school (e-school) where they

still receive training, pay tuition and have tests like schools. is different.

For e-learning, case teaching methods can be used for individual case analysis and assignments, as

well as for group assignments and homeworks (case write ups).

Case studies use theory to study and analyze real-life situations and help students to solve real

problems, suggest solutions and identify theories.

Question 1: What are SWOT analysis of e-learning solutions?

Question 2: What are AI and technology application in education?

2. Literature review

First, Arasu et al (2014) found the Internet has revolutionized services across institutions

ensuring greater customer-satisfaction. This has also brought into perspective the security

Second, Trung-Hieu Le, Do Thu Huong, Dinh Tran Ngoc Huy et al (2021) stated Automated

learning behavior analysis of learners is becoming an essential topic in the field of education,

where effective systems are needed to monitor learning progress and provide necessary feedback

to instructor activities. teach. Recent advances in the application of computer vision allow

automatic monitoring of behavior and attention status of learners at different levels, from

elementary school students to college students

Richard and Haya 2009 The Internet has become one of the

vital ways to make available

resources for research and learning

for both teachers and students to

share and acquire information

El-seoud et al 2014 One of the main reasons for e-

learning development is it gives

students' greater access to education

in comparison to traditional methods

of teaching as students can undertake

their study from anywhere and at any

time as well as being given the option

to study part-time or full-time

Basak et al 2018 the terms of electronic learning (e-

learning), mobile learning (m-

learning), and the digital learning (d-

learning) are used indifferently or in

a complementary way to mean

technological learning. E-learning is

the alternative of traditional

education and it can also be a

complementary to it. On the other

hand, the m-learning is the

complementary of both traditional

learning as well as e-learning.

3. Methodology

Authors will present and example of SWOT analysis of e-learning solutions. Analysis used with a

combination of quantitativemethods and qualitative methods including synthesis, inductive and

explanatory methods.

For technology application, we recommend to use SVM method for gender of internet user

prediction during e-learning process.

Trung-Hieu Le et al (2021) stated With the selected data set classified into 2 labels male and

female (male and female), from practical tests, the SVM method has the ability to classify quite

good for 2-class and multi-class classification problems as well as in many applications other

(such as classifying text by subject, detecting faces in images, estimating regression, predicting

software errors, etc.). Compare with classification methods Otherwise, the classification power of

SVM is equivalent or significantly better. Because of the Therefore, the thesis has chosen this

method for predicting the sex of people use the internet.

4.3. Technology application in e-learning or online learning

A. For predicting gender of internet users based on history access during e-learning:

In recent years, the classification method using Support Vector Machine.

Support (SVM) is interested and used a lot in the fields of identification and classify. The SVM

method was born from the statistical learning theory built by Vapnik and Chervonenkis and has a lot

of potential for theoretical and technical development.

application in practice. Practical tests show that the SVM method has The classification ability is

quite good for 2-class and multi-class classification problems as well as in

many other applications (such as text classification by subject, face detection in

images, regression estimation, software error prediction, etc.).

In addition, Gender determination to classify internet users is done performed by machine learning

techniques, using information about users who know their gender and information about their web

browsing history to train the machine to recognize the gender of other users when we only know the

browsing history. sites and catalog data of interest to the person.

Benefits of video camera recording learners behaviors:

- We can identify which learning programs to attract more their attention then we can adjust our

study programs to best suit to their needs or even change teaching methods.

B. Hand gesture recognition via human machine interaction

Thanh Hai Tran, Trung-Hieu Le et al (2020) presented a pilot study on hand posture ecog-nition

using a wrist-worn camera. We successfully designed and prototyped a wrist device that is able to

capture images of human hand gestures. We collected a set of ten postures by 10 volunteers with

the prototyped device in the context of home appliance control. We then evaluated the

performance of state-of-the-art deep learning models YOLO and SSD as posture detectors and

classifiers over our self-collected dataset.

Preliminary results demonstrate that although the limitation of camera angles, fingers’

configurations are highly distinctive for nearly perfectly recognizing the postures. This pilot gives

the first original dataset of hand posture captured by wrist-worn camera and show the feasibility

to recognize them, which are highly promising for human-machine interaction as well as home

appliance controlling applications. In the future, we will evaluate the method with continuous

video streams in combination with some multimodal sensors like accelerometer or gyroscope,

conduct the dynamic hand gesture recognition and deploy the application of home appliance

control.

C. For identifying gender of internet users in our e-learning programs:

In general, the most frequently performed activity on the Internet by users is to gather information,

such as reading news or using search sites. More than 90% of Internet users have used search sites,

about half of them even use it every day. The Internet is also used for research for school or work by

half of all people using the Internet once a week or more often. With new interactive websites and

[11438]

online applications, users not only have the opportunity to find information, but also contribute their

own piece of content.

E-commerce today, the number of visits achieved significant growth. Most popular sites are auction

and sale sites, where 40% of users have visited. Online banking is still in its infancy. The use of

online shopping and online banking websites has grown tremendously over the past few years.

Figure 1- Online activities used by network users

(Source: Cimigo NetCitizens)

The use of activities and internet access differs between men and women. On average, men spend

more time on the Internet a day. Men also have some of the same online activities as women.

However, there are specific differences such as men's tendency to access features such as breaking

news, football, or games and men's products. On the contrary, women are more interested in

shopping, e-commerce, chatting and participating in social networking sites and blogs.

Figure 2- Online activities by network users by gender

(Source: Cimigo NetCitizens)

Gender Prediction (or Determination Gender or Gender Prediction) is a method of classifying and

identifying activities accessed by either Male gender or Female gender from other activities with

known labels. For example, an article in a web page can be accessed by either male or female gender

(such as sports, education, law, information technology, cosmetics, clothing, etc.). The classification

can be done manually: read the content of each activity and assign it to a certain label. However, for

a system with a lot of records, this method will take a lot of time and effort. Therefore, it is necessary

to have an automatic method for gender classification. This method helps to determine gender with

high accuracy and is used for purposes such as learning, research, business, and commercial

marketing.

Below is a drawing depicting the process of gender determination problem:

Figure 3 - Process of gender prediction

Design Engineering

ISSN: 0011-9342 | Year 2021

Issue: 7 | Pages: 11432 - 11443

[11440]

Benefits of gender prediction of internet users:

- We can know male or female students will prefer to choose which study courses or learning

materials and e-books, then we can adjust our e-learning programs and plan to suit to their needs.

5. Conclusion

Our study results: e-learning education has many benefits and save costs for learners. We need to

research more on technology applications for e-learning including video camera to record

learners behaviors during learning process and prediction of gender of internet users during e-

learning courses selection.

Besides, authors also suggest to use SVM method to Collect complete, rich large datasets of access

histories of internet users in e-learning using.

Based on many features to contribute to improve classification ability and

determine the user's gender applied to practical problems then Improve performance, increase

processing speed, and we can improve our e-learning services.

Duong Thi Tinh, Nguyen Thu Thuy, Dinh Tran Ngoc Huy (2021) also propose recommendations

for teaching methodology to students at all levels from undergraduate schools to doctoral and

even associate professors.

Huy, D.T.N., Hanh, N.T.T et al (2021) said that Teachers need to improve quality of teaching via

teaching methods and e-learning might be a good solution..

Limitation of research

We can expand our research model for other industries and other markets.
