DIRECTOR: HR PLANNING, POLICY AND PMDS SALARY: Level 13 – R 685,200 per annum (All inclusive package) PRETORIA (Ref. 10437/01) REQUIREMENTS: An appropriate Human Resources degree or equivalent qualification and extensive managerial experience PLUS the following key competencies: Knowledge: Understanding of policy research, analysis and development processes Understanding of HRM prescripts in the Public Service In-depth knowledge of HR Planning Frameworks and processes Information Systems and Intelligence Employment Equity practices Marketing and branding of HR Project management DOE policies, functions, projects, and systems Strategic planning Financial management. Skills: Ability to interpret and apply policies Research and policy development and implementation Report writing and formulation Analysis Computer literacy Strategy and leadership Management Numeracy Facilitation and implementation Negotiation and consultation Planning and organising Problem solving and decision making. DUTIES: Provide operational leadership on the activities of the Directorate: HR Planning, Policy and PMDS Develop, maintain and implement HR plans, policies and systems Monitor and evaluate HR performance (HR annual reports and audits) in the Department Promote HR functions Performance management Provide vision, direction and strategic leadership with regard to HR planning, policies, systems, information and intelligence systems, promotion of HR functions as well as performance management and development Integrate and align HR planning, policies, systems, information and intelligence systems as well as promotion of HR functions, performance management, statutory frameworks, departmental objectives and HR budgets Provide advice and guidance on HR planning, policies, systems, information and intelligence systems, promotion of HR functions as well as performance management Manage staff in the Directorate Manage budgets and cash flow Manage assets, procurement and payment of goods and services.
