WHAT:Dining Out for Life is an International one-day event in April where participating restaurants donate a portion of their proceeds to the fight against HIV and AIDS. In Arizona, Dining Out For Life benefits Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS.

WHEN: Thursday, April 24, 2014

WHERE: Participating restaurants located throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area

WHO: Everyone in the community can participate

HOW: Restaurants sign up to donate a portion of their proceeds

Sponsors provide support for Dining Out For Life and the cause

Ambassadors help drive customers to the locations and greet guests

The Community Dines Out and Fights AIDS!

WHY: Financial support for the many health, education and wellness programs that serve those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

SOUTHWEST CENTER FOR HIV/AIDSSouthwest Center for HIV/AIDS is the only organization in the Southwestern U.S. to combine prevention and education programs, health and wellness services, as well as research and clinical trials in a single location and reaches more than 30,000 at-risk individuals each year. Southwest Center has helped to bring 32 of the 34 available HIV/AIDS medications to market, contributing to worldwide research as well as supporting Arizona’s biosciences industry.

2013 LOCAL RESULTS ARIZONA DINING OUT FOR LIFE HISTORY

LAST INTERNATIONAL RESULTS

We are happy to say Dining Out for Life in 2013 showed many “wins.” Here are the top 10:

1. Phoenix noted as one of the top 12 media markets out of 65+ participating cities in the United States and Canada

2. Durant’s donated $14,000 of revenue proceeds--WOW!

3. 10 new restaurants participated

4. Four TV news coverage stories (CBS5, Phoenix Channel 11, Fox10, 12 News)

5. 65% in restaurant giving over 2012

6. 12% net revenue increase

7. 6% increase in In-Kind media sponsorship

8. 5% increase in raffle donations

9. 3 new non-traditional participants (Los Olivos Hand Car Wash, Mesa Cookout for Life, 3-Way Bowling League along with Let-It-Roll Bowl & Entertainment)

10. 35 Volunteer Ambassadors (17% increase over 2012)
