  • GENERALOVERVIEW

    We are offering 9 Masters Programmes (see

    Appendix A) through DIMAS. These study

    programmes are accredited A (Excellent) by the

    Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. We

    value our students, both home-students and

    international students, by providing excellent

    education as well as best services to foster the

    learning process. In addition, located in Semarang

    City has become one of appealing points for

    UNDIP as the city itself is well known by its

    cultural and industrial diversity. This uniqueness

    allows our students to experience local heritage

    in their surroundings and also access to our

    industrial partners for those who want to

    conduct the internships.

    DIMAS (Diponegoro Master Scholarship) is a

    financial support offered by UNDIP for

    International Students to pursue their Master

    Degree in which Bahasa Indonesia is the main

    language used during the study. The scholarship

    consists of tuition fee waiver, living allowance

    (for those who resides in Semarang), health

    insurance and internet allowance during the

    COVID-19 pandemic.

    Jakarta Airport (CGK) to Semarang Airport (SRG)

  • MASTER OFENVIRONMENTALSTUDIES

    Programme Specifications:

    The courses offered fall under three major

    competences: (i) environmental engineering, (ii)

    Environmental management and (iii)

    Environmental planning.  The M.Sc Programme is

    spread over four semesters. It carries 40

    credits and comprises of three different

    components i.e, 1) Teaching, 2) Field Work and

    3) Thesis. The subject areas covered require

    knowledge of the basic scientific disciplines

    (Social science, economic, biology, chemistry).

    The Programme has two schemes: By course

    and by research. Each student is admitted to

    the Programme should choose from the first

    semester their choices. By course Programme

    consists of 75% structured course, while the by

    research Programme consists of 80% research

    activities.

    Expected Learning Outcomes:

    The graduates will possess the following

    characteristics: (i) understanding and able to

    take a role in environmental-related

    development; (ii) has capacity in improving

    professional role and services through

    environmental reasoning and analysis; (iii) able to

    formulate the approach and strategy in various

    environmental issues management; (iv) able to

    improve the capacity in developing professional

    performance in broader spectrum according to

    their competences

    The learning outcomes of was assessed

    according to student performances during

    the course. The assessment will be

    conducted by written examination (middle

    and final exam), assignments,

    presentation or problem solving.

    Programme requirements:

    The Programme is a multidisciplinary

    postgraduate Programme which admits

    undergraduates from various education

    backgrounds either academic or

    vocational studies. The refreshments

    courses related to environmental sciences

    will be delivered to the new students.

  • Learning methods and assessments:

    It applies a combination of student

    centre learning method and problem

    based learning method and refers to the

    latest developments in science and

    technology with varied learning

    methods. Our courses use a range of

    assessment formats, including midterm

    exam and final-terms exam (might be in

    written exam form, oral exam form or

    practical exam form), essays, reports,

    oral presentations, class participation,

    quiz, and discussion.

    These assessments are designed to

    help student develop their ability in the

    knowledge aspect and the hard skill

    aspect in accordance with the learning

    outcomes of the Indonesian National

    Qualification Framework.

    Programme Specifications:

    Master of Law Programme is one of the

    best programmes in Universitas

    Diponegoro that educate and produces

    graduates whose expertise in the reform

    and development of research-based law

    in order to support national development.

    Expected Learning Outcomes:

    Students are expected to have standard

    abilities as a legal expert who are not

    merely teaching staff/lecturers, legal

    researcher but also become a legal

    consultant or become a lawyer, or work at

    central/local government office.

    Programme requirements:

    completion of a bachelor’s degree in

    There are two schemes to study in Master of

    Business Administration, they are by

    course and by research.By course is designed

    for 24 credits of structured courses and 12

    credits of research courses and thesis writing.

    Min 36 credits in total. By research is designed

    for 6 credits for preparatory, 3 credits for

    proposal, 11 credits for research, 3 credits for

    result seminar, 7 credits for publication, and 6

    credits for thesis exam. Min 36 credits in total.

    Master of Business Administration applies

    multi discipline entry but preferable from

    Undergraduate (S1 and D4) in Business

    Programme Specifications:

    It is one of the best study programmes in Faculty

    of Economics and Business at Universitas

    Diponegoro. The programme organises

    postgraduate education in Master by course and

    Master by research.

    Learning methods and assessments:

    One academic year is divided into two

    semesters, odd semester and even semester.

    Lectures are conducted for 16 weeks including

    midterm exam and final exam. Education is

    organised using the Semester Credit System

    (SKS) approach. The number of SKS during the

    program implementation is 44 SKS taken during

    4 semesters.

    Programme requirements:

    Master by Courses: (i) compulsory courses are

    conducted using a structured lecture method in

    accordance with applicable regulations; (ii)

    concentration courses are offered according to

    student interests by referring to the minimum

    number of students; (iii) elective courses may be

    taken outside Master of Economics study

    program, according to applicable regulations; (iv)

    internship and Short Course can be conducted

    during semester breaks; (v) students must

    publish at least 1 article in an International

    Journal, National Journal of Sinta 4, or indexed

    international proceedings.

    Master by Research: (i) Master by Research

    students are required to take one onsite course,

    which is Econometrics III (3 credits) together

    with regular students; (ii) seminar on Research

    Results courses may be conducted outside the

    Master of Economics Study Program, for example

    by conference, in accordance with applicable

    regulations; (iii) students must publish at least 1

    article in a reputable international journal

    (indexed in Scopus or Web of Science).

  • MASTER OFACCOUNTINGExpected Learning Outcomes:

    The programme aims to produce practitioners

    and academicians who have the following

    competencies: (i) mastering the basics of

    accounting so that they are able to think and act

    as competitive practitioners or academicians in

    the field of accounting, especially financial

    accounting, management accounting,

    government accounting and forensic accounting;

    (ii) mastering the basics of adequate knowledge

    in order to be able to understand, explain and

    formulate problems in accounting phenomena,

    and be able to formulate ways of solving

    problems according to their field of expertise.

    Moreover, the programme also expects students

    to be: (iii) able to apply the knowledge and

    technology skills in productive activities and

    services to the community, especially in the

    fields of accounting and business; (iv) able to

    develop skills in the development of practice and

    knowledge of financial accounting, management

    accounting, government accounting and forensic

    accounting.

    Programme Specifications:

    This program opens a concentration in the field of

    accounting, so that it provides a great opportunity

    for those who are interested in the development of

    accounting science and practice for academicians,

    researchers, and practitioners.

    Learning methods and assessments:

    One academic year is divided into two

    semesters, odd semester and even semester.

    Lectures are conducted for 16 weeks including

    midterm exam and final exam. Education is

    organized using the Semester Credit System

    (SKS) approach. The number of SKS during the

    program implementation is 44 SKS taken during

    4 semesters.

    Programme requirements:

    The program requirements include: (i) Hold

    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; (ii) Minimum

    GPA of 2.75 from accredited Colleges (except for

    Masters of Notary and Masters of Linguistics

    which require a GPA of 3.0); (iii) Certificate of

    Diploma and transcripts; (iv) Academic

    recommendations from 2 people (may be S1, D4 /

    direct supervisors with min. S2 qualifications); (v)

    Permit from work agencies (for those who are

    already working); (vi) Projections / general

    description of the thesis research to be taken.

    FACULTY OFENGINEERINGProgramme Specifications:

    Environmental engineers are involved in

    managing and reducing waste and minimising

    pollution in order to protect, restore and preserve

    the earth. Environmental engineers are employed

    within the private and public sector and work in

    companies and organisations including:

    government sector, various industries

    particularly for HSE position, consultants,

    national and international organizations related

    to environment and researcher either in

    public/government or private companies.

    Learning methods and assessments:

    (i) Testing of the knowledge base and

    development of skills is through a combination

    of examination; (ii) Assessed coursework in the

    form of problem solving exercises; (iii) Design

    exercises based on observed-field problem; (iv)

    Essays and individual and group projects; (v)

    Submission and acceptance of peer-reviewed

    articles in Indonesian accredited journal or

    conference papers (indexed) based on the

    thesis; (vi) Participation in international

    conference and other work tailored to career

    goals-; (vii) Examination of thesis

    Programme requirements:

    The program requirements include:

    (i) Undergraduate with GPA minimum 2.75; (ii)
