    ther Dierences

hen outsiders co&e to visit the ca&!us as a guest" JU students takes care of

their guests #etter than DU students. his is #ecause" Dhaka University is in the

&iddle of the Dhaka city. he roads of the ca&!us is always #usy and crowded.

he ca&!us is always full of guests hel!ing the&selves. hat is why the students

of JU donFt co&e forward to hel! the guests that &uch. hereas the

Jahangirnagar University is a little far away fro& the #usy city. he roads are not

as &uch #usy as DU here. %o outsiders are few in nuer as well. hat is why

when a outsider co&e" the students of JU takes care of the& well. his clearly

shows a dierence in the attitudes of the students of University of Dhaka and

    Jahangirnagar University.

he University of Dhaka has a history. Eany scul!ture are all around the ca&!us

#ased on that !roud history. he students of that university see those scul!ture

and hear and learn a#out those hist!ry regularly. his leaves an eect on their

attitudes. n the other hand JU students unfortunately do not have that !roud

history to learn a#out. -t does not have that &uch of scul!ture around the

ca&!us as well. %o history does not aect their attitude" instead the natural

#eauty and the resident facility leaves eect on their attitude.

ur country has found &any rich and good !oliticians and &any fa&ous !olitical

!ersonalities fro& DU. hey have done students !olitics in their student life and

now they are getting the o!!ortunity to serve their country !roudly. n the other

hand" only handful of student !oliticians fro& Jahangirnagar University have

#een !osted centrally. herefore" the students of DU are &ore !roud a#out their

!olitical factors. n the other hand" JU students have less &otivational factors

    a#out !olitics in their attitude.

he students of Jahangirnagar University has &ore tendency of $o# turnover in

their !rofessional life than the DU students. he reason #ehind that is" the

students of JU studies - resident facility. hey stay within the ca&!us area and

study" the co&&unication with the outside world is very &ini&u&. n the other

hand" the students of DU s!ends their student life in a e(trovert &anner. hey

co&&unicate with the outside world on a regular #asis. hat is why" in the

    13/13

cor!orate world" the students of JU donFt nd it co&forta#le to stay within a $o#

area. hey have the tendency to change $o# fre:uently. n the other hand" DU

students stay dedicated in a $o# area and $o# turnover is very low.

Jahangirnagar University has the :uota syste& in the ad&ission test. here are

several :uotas such as s!ort :uota" cultural :uota etc. #ecause of this :uota

syste&" Jahangirnagar University has &ore students who are &ore s!ort and

culture dedicated. And Jahangirnagar University is &ore enriched with culture

and s!ort activity than the University of Dhaka.

    @.onclusion

'ro& the discussion a#ove" we have learned &any dierences in attitudes of the

students of University of Dhaka and Jahangirnagar University. And it is very natural to

have so&e dierences #etween two institutions. Des!ite having the dierences" DU

and JU are the to! two !u#lic universities of our country.

As we are the students of JU" we should try to overco&e the +aws we found fro& the

discussion" and try to learn fro& the good attitudes that the DU students or anyone

    else holds to enrich ourselves.
