 The420E/430E machinesareequippedwithhydraulicallyassistedmastercylinders,whichdecreasestheamountofpedaleffortwhenbraking.Thisillustrationshowstheboostedbrakesvalvegroup,whichusesoilfromthepilotaccumulatortoaddboosttothemastercylinder.Thehydraulicforcemultipliesthe

pedaleffortsotheoperatorcangetmorebrakingforcewithlesseffort.

 Thebrakeboostvalvesareconnectedtothemastercylinder(A)ateachbrakepedal(B).Oilentersthemastercylinderthroughthesupplyhose(C)andexitsthemastercylinderthroughthereturnhose(D).Theoilflowstotheservicebrakesthroughthehoses(E)atthebottomofthemastercylinder.

 Themastercylinderscanberemovedfromthemachinefrominsidetheoperator'scompartment.

 Thisillustrationshowsasectionalviewoftheboostedbrakevalvegroup.Whenthebrakepedalisdepressed,theboostbrakevalvemovestotheleftandinletoilfromthepilotmanifoldis directed
