Two important elements of the curriculum adoption roadmap are:1. Hands-on Teacher Training and Implementation Planning

The teacher training phase provides hands-on practice and an opportunity for joint discussions with the GrapeSEED team.

It includes:

• Week-long training for all instructors, onsite (at your school) or in-house (at the GrapeSEED ofces)

• The program’s key features, teaching insights, and teaching tools

• The significance of after-school materials

• Observation of a class already using the GrapeSEED program

• Discussion of class needs and program customization

• Finalizing a personalized implementation plan

2. General Procedures Manual and Teacher’s GuidesThe General Procedures Manual and Teacher’s Guides provide extensive explanations of the curriculum,

along with key insights, guidelines, and grading tools.

Topics include:

• General GrapeSEED objectives and key features

• How children learn and use language

• What’s wrong with traditional ESL teaching

• How to use the 40 Teacher’s Guides (one for each level)

• Overall learning objectives and outcomes

• Individual learning objectives and outcomes for all 40 levels

• The purpose of GrapeSEED’s after-school materials

• Ways to maximize effectiveness and measure results
