Request for Approval of Non-ODP Courses:– State or urban area formally requests review of an Awareness or Performance
Course to ODP
– ODP Training Division upon receiving request
• Possible conditional approval while course is under review
• Sends acknowledgment letter, approval template for requestor to complete, and ODP training doctrine
– Requestor completes template to document a comparison between the objectives of the course in question and the ODP Training Doctrine (ODP Training Strategy, Emergency Responder Guidelines, and Prevention Guidelines)
– Complete template is forwarded with course materials to Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) for review
– CDP completes review and reports back to Training Division recommending approval or denial pending modification
– Final notification made to state or urban area
