Denver Tennis Park Project Genesis of the idea Tonight’s purpose

Denver Tennis Park Vision

Denver’s only year-round facility devoted to youth Programs on and off-site, both fee and scholarship-based Emphasis on the ‘whole child’: fitness, mental focus, sportsmanship, nutrition,

mentoring and achievement of personal goals Collaborations with existing youth serving organizations Cultivation of mutual benefits between the partners

Project Structure

Privately funded Operated by the Denver Tennis Park, a 501c3 not for profit organization Core usages defined for the three partners Available for general public usage

Why Tennis?

Played by each gender and by both genders together Individuals and teams Minimal barriers to entry Endurance and explosive Fosters sportsmanship and social skills Tennis is a WORLDWIDE sport Tennis is a LIFELONG sport

Why Tennis for Kids?

Strength and endurance training Develops resilience Cultivates focus Requires integrity Language acquisition Strong extracurricular activities lead to strong academic commitments
