December preschool plans Happy December, friends! I hope that you and your little ones enjoy these homeschool preschool plans! Just a few reminders 1. LG is 3.5 years old. These plans were designed with her in mind. Please feel free to modify them however needed for your own children! 2. There are 12 days of plans. They are not planned in any particular order, so just pick and choose days as they fit for your family. 3. Breakfast Box Christmas Mini Erasers – Use Christmas mini erasers to practice

sorting and making patterns.

Math Number Counting & Tracing – Use pompoms or ornaments to cover

and count the ornaments. Use a dry erase marker to trace the numbers

and number words.

LITERACY Christmas Lights ABC Order – Use clothespins to clip the alphabet Christmas lights in a ABC order.

Fine Motors Name Wreath – Use the template to build a wreath with your little one’s

name.

Breakfast Box Name Building – Use puffy stickers from your sensory bin to practice

building your little one’s name.

Math Candy Comparisons – Choose 2 candy number cards. Build the

correct amounts and compare them.

LITERACY Beginning Letters Building – Use Christmas-themed manipulatives to build the beginning letters of the

Christmas words.

Fine Motors Christmas Lights Name Building –Use letters on Christmas lights to

build your little one’s name.

Breakfast Box Jingle Bell Patterns – Use red, green and yellow jingle bells to recreate

and build patterns.

Math Christmas Gift Addition – Choose 2 Christmas tree number cards. Build the correct number of gifts on the

trees. Then add them together.

LITERACY Candy Rhymes – Match the candy pictures to their rhyming candy

bags.

Fine Motors Gift Wrapping – Cut or tear Christmas gift wrap and glue or tape the pieces to a gift box.

Breakfast Box Christmas Gems Sensory Bin –Little ones explore their sensory bin

and practice scooping, pouring, sorting, etc.

Math Cookie Subtraction – Build 10 cookies on the cookie plate. Choose

a cookie number card. Subtract that amount of cookies, then record

your answers.

LITERACY Upper/Lowercase Matching – Match the lowercase ornament letters to

their matching uppercase Christmas tree letters.

Fine Motors Christmas Tree Patterns – Create a pattern with art supplies on the

Christmas tree.

Breakfast Box Nativity Sticker Tray – Practice retelling the Christmas story and placing the stickers in the correct

sequence.

Math Shape Find and Cover – Choose Christmas gift shapes to find and

cover on the mat.

Phonics Gingerbread Letters Match –Match the capital gingerbread

letters to the lowercase letters.

Fine Motors Christmas STEM Tray – Use the materials in the STEM tray to build

the Christmas pictures.

Breakfast Box Sticker Matching Sensory Bin –Choose Christmas puffy stickers

from the sensory bin and sort them on the page.

Math Gingerbread Cookie Clip Cards –Count the gingerbread cookies. Clip the correct numbers on the cards.

Phonics Letter Board Game – Roll the dice. Move ahead that many spaces and

identify the letter on the game board.

Fine Motors Christmas Tracing Cards – Use a dry erase marker to trace in the

lines. OR use manipulatives to fill the lines.

lowercase letters.

Breakfast Box Puffy Sticker Name Building – Use the puffy alphabet stickers to

practice building names.

Math Elf Shape Tracing – Choose elf shapes to find and trace on the

recording sheet.

Phonics Christmas Lights Tracing – Choose an alphabet Christmas light to trace in the sand/sprinkle tray.

Fine Motors Gift Wrapping – Cut or tear Christmas gift wrap and glue or tape the pieces to a gift box.
