    Book Report Due December 4thPaper:Write a feature article (with a headline) that tells the story of the book as it might befound on the front page of a newspaper in the town where the story takes place.

    This must be typed, two pages long, and double spaced.

    Use specific events from the book.

    Rubric: Voice 25pts Did you emulate a news article well?Ideas 13pts Do you include specific events from the story?Conventions 12pts Did you follow common writing conventions, especiallythe examples we covered on grammar days.

    Speech:Do a monologue. Pretend to be a character from the book. Tell the story. You can do thisaloud or on paper. If you pick someone other than the main character, you may find thestory looks different from your eyes than it does to the main character. After all, the badguy might not see himself as being so bad!Rubric: Voice -- 13pts Was it uniquely the speaker? Did you portray the characters

    of the book well?
