DEC.’20
So here we are, nearly at the end of what has been a very unusual year! Lots of things about 2020 have been
different and sometimes strange. However once we get to Advent and the Christmas season thank goodness we can
enjoy all the lovely traditions that happen every year regardless! Advent calendars, Christmas cards, Christmas lists
for Santa, decorating the Christmas tree, singing Carols at school, not to mention Christmas morning with all its
surprises and a lovely Christmas dinner! I love advent, as we prepare for Jesus’s birth; almost as much as Christmas
day itself (but don’t tell my daughters!). It’s a really lovely time of peace and calm before all the excitement starts to
happen. Lets try and remember the real message of Christmas, Jesus birth and what that means to us all as
Christians. Let us remember those whose Christmas this year won’t be the same because they won’t be seeing
family members, or haven’t got very much money to make it special. I look forward to sending out January’s
newsletter and would love to wish you all, on behalf of the Messy Church and Ministry Team, a Happy, Healthy, Holy
and fun filled Christmas! Love Rachael; Children and Family Worker, Harton Benefice. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
