  • January -2015 Oh deer We took care of a baby deer for a few months. The kids had a lot of fun bottle feeding him until we could place him with a neighboring farmer. A new arrival Seven year old Julian came to our home. He is in the Reichard house. He has an audience in July. A new fence and more ORI came and put a fence up around one of the new properties. They also did a bunch of cleaning and other things. Thanks a bunch! U.S.VISAS We got em! Visas for Lucia, Josue, Maria, Isaac, Mercedes and Jacob.

First batch of coffee Our major harvest was this month. This coffee year we harvested about 450 lbs of roasted coffee. School started again Its that time of year again. The school year in Guatemala is from mid January thru beginning of October. This year we have ten preschool/kindergarteners, six first graders, seven primary and six highschoolers. This keeps us busy to say the least.

February Grandpa and Grandma Deborahs parents came down to help for about two and a half months. Thanks so much! Stateside We were blessed to be able to travel to FL, AL, TN, IN, and PA this trip. We brought with us Lucia, Josue, and Jacob as well as David, Peter, and Felicity. We visited friends, families, and churches. We had a wonderful time. Runaways The day after leaving for the U.S. four of our children

decided to run away resulting in two of them getting kidnapped. We managed to get all of them back, but not before emotional and some physical damage was done. Three are living in different orphanages. One at our counselors house working on being healed from his very bad decisions he made. This has been a great heart ache for our whole family. Yeni complications Twenty month old Yeni has been having seizures after completing her TB medications. She also has had a bit of mucus in her lungs. Please pray for her healing.

  • March Family Vacation We were blessed to be able to take the kids to the beach again for three days. We had lots of fun and Tom and Sue Stukenberg, Grandma and Grandpa, went with! Martinas new wheel chair Martina got two new wheel chairs. One for at home and one for travel. Troubles that come with the job A very common issue when dealing with sexually abused children is sexual based problems. Most of our children that come older than two have been abused. We

have been having more issues than normal in this area and covet your prayers for wisdom, protection for the younger children, and encouragement. Baptized A few of the girls from the Esther house were baptized this month. Congrats Virginia, Carla, and Cecilia.

April House parents found The new house parents will be starting May 31st. They are a Guatemalan couple that has been doing house parenting for over 15yrs now. We are excited to see what God does and praying that we can work well together. Emilio arrived A little 2 yr old arrived here this month. He is in the New Beginnings home. New Beginnings home started This home was started because of Emilio. This home is ran by Ron and Rhonda Hedricks, missionary friends of ours who live next to the airstrip. As of now it is for children 0-4 yrs old with a max of 3 kids. We look

forward to seeing this home grow.

    Please see bottom 2 pages.

    Prayer Requests

  • PRAISE GOD!!!

House parents for the Esther house are coming on May 30th! God has kept us safe on the roads and at the house Our finances have been good enough to get some extra projects done on top of our

    daily needs

Tom and Sue came to watch the rest of our kids while we were gone The new guest room will be done soon The foundation for Love and Hope home is started!

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good

    Psalm 136:1

    Please Pray

For safety rainy season has started which makes road travel a little more dangerous and unpredictable. That the transition of the new house parents goes well. For wisdom, encouragement, and joy as we continue to work with abused children That finances will continue to come in for our needs That God will provide just the right couple to cover for us for two weeks in August while we are in

Wisconsin That our family would be stable thru all of the trials and changes going on lately That the judges would obey God and stop making bad choices in the lives of our children Pray our children would get closer to God and become strong, Godly leaders Pray we can lead our family in the ways of God Pray for our family as we lead the other three homes Pray for our biological children, that they would flourish in stability as they learn to serve and share

    their parents

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith Matt. 21:22
