Who made the earth a bed for you, and the heaven a roof, and caused water to

come down from the clouds and therewith brought forth fruits for your

sustenance. Set not up, therefore, equals to Allah, while you know.{ Al-Baqarah: 23}

''Listen, O those who can, to what God desires from you. And what He desires is only

that you become solely His and do not associate any partners with Him, neither in the

heavens nor on the earth. Our God is that God who is alive even now as He was alive

before. He speaks even now as He used to speak before. And even now He hears as He

used to hear earlier. It is a false notion that in these times He does hear but does not

speak. But He hears and speaks, too. All His Attributes are eternal and everlasting.

None of His Attributes is in abeyance, nor will it ever be. He is the One without any

associate Who has no son, nor has He any wife. He alone is the peerless Who has no

one like Him. And He is the One Who is unique in that none of His Attributes are

exclusively possessed by anyone besides Him. He is the One Who has no equal. He is

the One Who has no one to share with Him His Attributes. And He is the One no Power

of Whose is less than perfect. He is near, though He is far and He is far, though He is

On 7 November 2014 Hazrat Khalīfatul-Masīh V(May Allāh be his Helper) delivered the Friday Sermon at Baitul Futuh Mosque, London UK

It is God’s favour upon us that He has enabled us to accept the Promised Messiah(as) who,

among other things, taught us ways and means of spiritual advancement, drew our attention

towards discharging rights of God and rights of mankind, inculcated in us the spirit of

sacrificing life, wealth, time and children and told his Jama’at to mould themselves completely

according to the teachings of God.

Ameer Sahib of Burkina Faso writes that a local Sadr Jama’at says that at time of Eid ul Adha

this year he did not have enough funds to cook food at home let alone have money for the

required animal sacrifice. He listened to a discourse on financial giving with reference to

Tehrik e Jadid following which he gave 2000 for blessing and hoped that God would meet his

needs. A miracle took place and his younger brother unexpectedly sent a large sum of money

from Ivory Coast.

Recently as usual Khatm e Nabwat Conference was held in Rabwah where fiery speeches were

made by Maulawis alleging that Jama’at receives funding from big powers etc. But they also

let it slip that Jama’at is progressing so much because even its poor make financial sacrifices.

Neither are we in need of any governmental aid nor do we ask for it, we are simply blessed

owing to the sincerity of the members of the Jama’at.

National secretary Tehrik e Jadid Germany writes that an Ahmadi made a special pledge and

with the grace of God his income increased and he could pay off his debt and was also

enabled to purchase a new home which had earlier seemed impossible. He says he has been

living in Germany for 35 years but has never earned so much. His income increased by

€40,000 in two and a half months.

Let it be clear that the task of dissemination of faith is increasing and widening and for this

attention should be given to financial sacrifice. The odd objector tries and poison minds of

others. For the information of Jama’at with the grace of God, currently MTA broadcasts all

over the world via ten satellites. The cost of these satellites alone, quite apart from all the

other MTA expenses, is so high that when it is mentioned to others that MTA operates on

financial giving and without advertisement revenue they are astonished.

The new year of Tehrik e Jadid commenced on 1 November 2014 with last year closing on 31

October 2014. This was the eightieth year of the scheme and the worldwide contributions

stand at £8,470,800.00. This was an increase of more than £600,000 from the year before.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad says a global strategy required to stop radicalisation

On 8 November 2014, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa, His

Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad delivered the keynote address at the 11th National Peace

Symposium hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK.

During his address, His Holiness categorically condemned the activities of ISIS and other extremists groups

as “entirely un-Islamic” and said they were “viciously spreading a network of terror” in the world.

Quoting extensively from the Holy Quran, His Holiness proved Islam to be a religion of peace that

promoted tolerance, mutual respect and understanding at all levels of society. His Holiness also questioned

how extremist groups such as ISIS were funded and supported.

The event was held at the Baitul Futuh Mosque in London with an audience of more than 1000 people,

including 550 non-Ahmadi guests comprising Government Ministers, Ambassadors of State, Members of

both Houses of Parliament and various other dignitaries and guests. The theme of this year’s Peace

Symposium was “Khilafat, Peace and Justice”.

During the event, His Holiness also presented Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, Founder andCEO Mary’s Meals

UK, with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Prize for the Advancement of Peace in recognition of his outstanding

efforts to provide food and education to hundreds of thousands of children in the developing world.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad began his address by speaking of the increasing threat of terrorism and

extremism in today’s world.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“Over the past year, one particular group has viciously spread its network of terror and has become a

cause of major concern for the world. I am speaking of the group of extremists commonly known as ‘ISIS’

or ‘I.S.’ The actions of this terrorist group are not only impacting Muslim countries, but also countries in

Europe and further afield are also being affected by its brutalities.”

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said it was highly “disturbing” that hundreds of Muslim youths from all parts

of the world were being attracted by ISIS and were going to Syria and Iraq to fight for them. His Holiness

said: “the agenda and objectives of ISIS and their so-called Khalifa are utterly horrific and barbaric”.

His Holiness said that ISIS had a vision to “take over the world” which he classed as“wishful

thinking”. Nonetheless, His Holiness said that if ISIS was not “stopped in its tracks” it could cause great

destruction in the world.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“Consider just how much suffering and ruin can be caused by an extremist group, which is gathering

together frustrated and restless people from all parts of the world who are ready to give their lives for this

unjust cause…

This is especially true given the fact that this group (ISIS) does not just have willing individuals but is also

heavily armed with sophisticated weapons systems and artillery. Indeed, it is not out of the question that

they could eventually lay their hands on nuclear weapons.”

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued:

“When all of this is considered there is no doubting the horrific threat to the world posed by ISIS and any of

the groups that have similar ideologies. The fact that all of this is being done in the name of Islam sincerely

grieves and pains all true and peace loving Muslims because such brutal and inhumane ideologies have

nothing to do with the religion whatsoever. Rather, in every way, and at every level, Islam’s real teachings

are of peace and security for all people.”

The Khalifa went on to give a detailed account of Quranic teachings in relation to warfare, stating that

wherever Muslims were given permission for a ‘defensive war’ it was given as a means to protect all

religions and not just Islam. He also explained the unparalleled efforts made by the Holy Prophet

Muhammad (peace be upon him) to spread peace throughout the world.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad went on to speak about how ‘freedom of conscience’ was a fundamental

tenet of Islam. He said that Muslims were permitted only to preach the message of Islam in a peaceful way.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“It is never permissible, in any circumstance, to force another person to accept Islam or indeed any

religion… All people are free to believe or not to believe. And so when the Holy Prophet (peace be upon

him) was permitted only to convey the message of Islam and nothing further – how then can the so

called Muslim leaders of today go beyond this and think they have more power, authority or rights than

the Prophet of Islam?”

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad ended his address by questioning how terrorist or extremist groups were

being funded and by appealing for world peace through true justice.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“I would also hereby like to question those people or organisations who claim that Islam is a religion of

violence on the basis of the atrocities of the extremist groups. I would ask them to consider how these

groups are able to acquire such funds that allow them to continue their extremist activities and warfare for

so long? How do they acquire such sophisticated weapons? Do they have arms industries or factories?

It is quite obvious that they are receiving the help and support of certain powers. This could be direct

support from very oil-rich states or it could be other major powers covertly providing assistance.”

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued:

“The funding of these groups is a major problem because it is through these funds that they are able to

prey on vulnerable groups or individuals… Thus something has to be done to stop the funding of these

groups urgently. The West has now started to realise and acknowledge that this is a war that is actually

directly affecting it as well. However, this too is under-estimation – the truth is that this is a war against the

entire world.”

We do not believe that God the Almighty has any limitations, nor can He ever

be limited to any specific dimensions. What we know about God is that just as

He is there on the heavens so He is there on the earth as well. As for human

relations with Him they are of two types. One, His general relationship with

the common man and His special relationship with His special servants who

purify themselves and advance in His love. He gets so near to them that it

seems as if He speaks through them. It is very peculiar about Him that despite

the fact that He is very far, He is very close and despite the fact that He is very

close, He is far. He is very near yet it cannot be said that He is near as two

physical bodies can come near each other. He is above everything and yet it

can not be said that there is something below Him (i.e. something like Him,

just next to Him). He is very much manifest but at the same time He is very

much hidden. The more a man acquires true purification the more he begins

to understand God.

1. The initiate shall solemnly promise that he/she shall abstain from Shirk (association

of a partner with God) right up to the day of his/her death.

2. That he/she shall keep away from falsehood, fornication, adultery, trespasses of

the eye, debauchery, dissipation, cruelty, dishonesty, mischief and rebellion; and

will not permit himself/herself to be carried away by passions, however strong they

may be.

3. That he/she shall regularly offer the five daily prayers in accordance with the

commandments of God and the Holy Prophet; and shall try his/her best to be

regular in offering the Tahajjud (predawn supererogatory prayers) and invoking

Darood(blessings) on the Holy Prophet; that he/she shall make it his/her daily

routine to ask forgiveness for his/her sins, to remember the bounties of God and to

praise and glorify Him.

4. That under the impulse of any passions, he/she shall cause no harm whatsoever to

the creatures of Allah in general, and Muslims in particular, neither by his/her

tongue nor by his/her hands nor by any other means.

5. That he/she shall remain faithful to God in all circumstances of life, in sorrow and

happiness, adversity and prosperity, in felicity and trials; and shall in all conditions

remain resigned to the decree of Allah and keep himself/herself ready to face all

kinds of indignities and sufferings in His way and shall never turn away from it at

the onslaught of any misfortune; on the contrary, he/she shall march forward.

6. That he/she shall refrain from following un-Islamic customs and lustful inclinations,

and shall completely submit himself/herself to the authority of the Holy Qur'an;

and shall make the Word of God and the Sayings of the Holy Prophet the guiding

principles in every walk of his/her life.

7. That he/she shall entirely give up pride and vanity and shall pass all his/her life in

lowliness, humbleness, cheerfulness, forbearance and meekness.

8. That he/she shall hold faith, the honor of faith, and the cause of Islam dearer to

him/her than his/her life, wealth, honor, children and all other dear ones.

9. That he/she shall keep himself/herself occupied in the service of God's creatures,

for His sake only; and shall endeavor to benefit mankind to the best of his/her God-

given abilities and powers.

10. That he/she shall enter into a bond of brotherhood with this humble servant of

God, pledging obedience to me in everything good, for the sake of Allah, and

remain faithful to it till the day of his/her death; that he/she shall exert such a high

devotion in the observance of this bond as is not to be found in any other worldly

relationship and connections demanding devoted dutifulness

Here I would like to share my experience of a quick and easy alternative method

to fax letters to our beloved Huzur (aba).

By the grace of Allah, I used to write letters for dua to Huzur since the age of 15 or 16 years.

In Pakistan, I sent letters to Rabwah and private secretary sahib forwarded these to London.

Occasionally I sent letters directly to London which costed more, so I mostly sent the letters

to Rabwah.

I still have with me a reply from the assistant private secretary dated back in 1991. When I

moved to NZ, I searched for quicker ways to send letters via fax directly to Huzur’s office in

London. I did not want to

use an office fax machine.

Rather, I wanted to use the

internet to fax the letter

using my laptop. I came

across an application called

PamFax in 2010. I installed

this application which costs

only $0.08 £ per page.

This application was

worthwhile during our

(myself and Yasin Chaudhry

sahib) Tabligh visit to Samoa

where we sent letters for dua every day.

I strongly recommend using this application to send letters for dua to our beloved Huzur

(aba). See below for a link to this software.
