Basics of Cha cha cha

My final teaching demonstration held in the Grade 9 – Phobos in Southern Luzon State University Laboratory High School at exactly 5:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon.

Choosing the best topic that will be used in the final demonstration is the hardest part. At first I can’t choose what topic I will be used. I have 3 choices but I choose Basics of cha cha cha because I am more confident in this topic. As a teacher, you need to know everything about your topic and since I have a little background in dancing the cha cha cha, I am confident to teach this one, all I have to do is to understand it’s background and history. With the help of my friends and Mr. Chua, I understand how to teach the Basics of Cha cha cha. Mr. Chua guides me in managing my lesson plan; he gives me some points to remember in creating my lesson plan.

The day of my final demonstration, I’m nervous but with the help of my friends it fades away. My final demonstration went well. My main goal is for the students to learn how to dance cha cha cha and enjoy in my teaching demonstration. During my teaching, I gave my best and my observers told me that I’m energetic all throughout the demonstration. My final Demo happened like the way I planned to. I started my discussion with my activity which is the stepping game, this will help my students be guided in our lesson. After the game, I prepared a video clip about the dance. I asked them the ideas and information they do have in our topic. The students are really attentive and active in participating the class discussion. First, I tackled about the Ballroom Dancing and its two distinct types before we proceed to the basics of cha cha cha. After the discussion, I demonstrated the basics of cha cha cha before my students execute the basics. As I observed to my students they enjoyed performing the basics of cha cha cha. I’m happy and relieved with my final demonstration. Even though my grade was not that high (96.53), I’ satisfied because I gave my best with God guiding me.
