About The Role Key responsibilities will involve; Conducting post-investment operational reviews on external third party service providers and sub-investment managers, and internal shared service functions Monitoring performance of key controls Maintaining documentation on monitoring activities Conducting root cause analysis when exceptions found Managing follow-up activities Identifying control improvements Responsible for working in accordance with the organisation’s Risk Management Framework, and compliance with company policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company. Deputising for Head of Operational Monitoring when required What They Are Looking For 5-7 years+ experience working in an asset management business (or an allied industry) University degree essential minimum grade 2:1 Investment qualification(s) such as IMC highly desirable Excellent numerical ability and analytical skills Knowledge of all major asset classes Knowledge of different pooled and segregated investment structures Knowledge of controls and monitoring / verification techniques Previous experience in an operations, audit or monitoring role is highly desirable Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain working relationships with both internal and external clients Strong ability to present succinct findings and necessary actions from complex monitoring work Proactive and self-starter Tenacious and determined to find root cause of issues Natural inclination to investigate situations that just do not appear to be right Attention to detail

About The Role
