Defensive Tackle Stance and Alignment 1. 3 point stance, feet parallel or nearly. No more than toe-to-heel

stagger. Stance is individualistic with flexibility allowed.2. Shoulders parallel to the ground and LOS3. Be able to see both offensive lineman (C-OG or OG-OT)4. Feet up under you.5. Distance from the ball will vary from individual to individual and

Responsibility 3. Be such a predominant factor in every play to force our opponent

into a double team.4. On outside plays, pursue flat, keep your feet, run to the ball.5. Know pass and draw situations.6. Move around. Cause confusion. Force guards and center to make

calls.
