Dear Parents, It’s time for summer holidays and time for fun filled activities. Childhood is an extremely important stage and we need to use this time to create a strong bonding with our children. We believe that it is important to motivate and encourage the child to develop intellectually and physically.

Let this be a time for enjoyment & relaxation. But don’t forget to blend fun intelligently with creative work.

Guideline for parents:

Holiday’s homework should be done under parental guidance and not by the parents.

Here are few interesting activities that will keep your child engrossed

indoors:

1.)Take your child for a ‘heritage walk’ to places like doll museum,Bal bhwan , India gate or any other

place you are planning to visit this summer.

To develop motor skills, encourage them to make drawing on drawing sheets related to places they

visited during holidays and colour them.

2.) Let your child watch movies like ‘finding dory’ ,’The secret life of pets’ ,’smurfs’ ,’trolls’ ,’sing’

and discuss and imitate characters from the movie and dance to the beat of their favorite songs from

the movie.

3.) Discuss with your child about the things to be kept in’ travelling kit’. Help them to make a

travelling kit.

4.) Make a routine for your child to play, study and watch TV. Make them watch educational TV

shows like ‘handy manny’ or‘team umizoomi’.

5.) Try to share stories with your child, tell them about your childhood and family history. Also take

your child to your workplace and let them understand that you work to support the family.

6.) Allow them to help you in cooking, let them learn to make some snacks.

LET’S LEARN

English – 1. Do page no.1 to 11 in integrated activity English book.

2. Learn how to write your name.

3. Practice reading and writing of words done with vowel sound – a.

4. Practice drawing of pictures which have been explained in the class with

these words

6. Read the vowel “a “Sound pages from “My English book”.

(Take your parents help to read the sentences and new words.)

TABLE NAPKIN WITH THUMBPRINT

1. Aa Bb Cc table napkin with thumbprints.

2. Kindly follow the given sample provided for the table napkin.

3. Material required :-

a. Casement cloth.

b. Fevicryl colours and brushes.

4. Method:

a. Take a square piece of casement cloth 18"/18”.

b. Write the letters (Aa to Zz) as shown.

c. Take a thumb impression below the letters.

d. Outline the object with black fevicryl colour. E.g. using red fevicryl colour they will make a for apple, b for beetle etc. and for other pictures use relevant colours.

5. Similar pattern will be followed for rest of the letters.

6. Show your creativity to make the border of the table napkin.
