Objective: To form the comparative and superlatives of adjectives.

Definition A comparative adjective compares one person,

place, or thing to another.

Adjective Comparative Adjective John is tall. John is taller than Jack. Susan is happy. Susan is happier than

yesterday. Mary is beautiful. Lorena is more beautiful than

Mary.

A superlative adjective compares more than two people, places, or things.
