The show was a great blend of comedy, genius and surrealism. The audience could see a cross-section of a small room on stage in which the performer could be seen lying on his back with his feet on the wall; however, with the use of a camera at a different angle, a screen to the side of the stage made him appear to be standing upright. This simple technique allowed for an amazing performance of a brilliant show. It was a great trip and I’m sure everyone that went would love to go again. The event is for Year 9, 10 and 11 students and gives you the opportunity to engage with professionals from a wide range of career paths. Parents and guardians are more than welcome to attend with students to guide their questioning. DANCE SHOW On Thursday 17 th January we held our first dance show of the year. The show included performances from pupils studying dance in Year 10, 11, 12 and 13. The show had a wide range of styles of dance, all of which were performed with great professionalism. Pupils have been busy rehearsing since September, giving up their lunch times and their time after school to create the dance show. The majority of the dances in the show were choreographed by the pupils themselves, with some of them being pupils actual assessment pieces for their BTEC Dance course. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the pupils for their hard work and commitment to the show and dance in general. And we are looking forward to putting on the next show on May 2 nd and 3 rd .
