Prior to Mr. Coleman’s work on midstream projects, he worked on the development of photovoltaic solar projects. UGI Energy Services has successfully invested over $40MM in new solar projects that has led to over 11 megawatts of installed renewable energy. Additionally, Mr. Coleman has also worked on implementing the use of liquefied natural gas as a liquid fuel. Allen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech and a MBA from the University of Michigan, where he specialized in corporate strategy and finance.

Dan AdamoUGI Utilities

Dan Adamo, Director of Marketing Programs and Strategy for UGI Utilities, is one of the principal architects of UGI’s innovative GET Gas pilot program which aims to increase access to natural gas service in currently unserved and underserved areas. Dan has over 15 years of utility experience and has also held key positions in rates, business development and operations at UGI. Dan holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.

Commissioner Gladys BrownPA Public Utility Commission

Gladys M. Brown was sworn in as a Pennsylvania Public Utility Commissioner on Oct. 2, 2013, one day after receiving unanimous approval from the Pennsylvania Senate. Commissioner Brown was nominated for the position by Gov. Tom Corbett on June 13, 2013. Her term expires April 1, 2018.

During her confirmation hearing, Commissioner Brown pledged to use the same fair and balanced approached in dealing with PUC issues that she used in her more than 22 years as an aide in the Pennsylvania Senate. She highlighted that one of her goals on the Commission is to increase efforts to educate consumers.

Since 1991, Commissioner Brown served as counsel to the Senate Democratic Leader where she worked on many of the major utility issues that have been considered by the General Assembly in the last two decades including all of the major deregulation bills for telecommunications, electricity and natural gas; Act 201 of 2004, which added Chapter 14 to the Public Utility Code and changed the handling of consumer terminations and reconnections; Act 129 of 2008, which addressed energy efficiency and procurement; and Act 11 of 2012, which expanded use of the distribution system improvement charge.

Prior to joining the Senate, Commissioner Brown served as an assistant counsel for the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs in the Pennsylvania Department of State and as a clerk for the Honorable Paul A. Simmons, Judge for the U.S. District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania.

A native of Middletown, Pa., Commissioner Brown earned her bachelor’s and juris doctorate degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. She lives in Harrisburg, Dauphin County. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, currently serving on the House of Delegates for the organization. She also is a member of the Dauphin County Bar Association, the James S. Bowman Inns of Court and the Keystone Bar Association. She is an active member at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Harrisburg. She is also an active member in Epsilon Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

Paul HartmanAmerica’s Natural Gas Alliance

Paul Hartman is a seasoned strategic government relations professional with significant experience in corporate and not-for-profit (NGO) government relations management, coalition building and maintenance, legislative and political analysis, media advocacy, grassroots mobilization, campaign development and management of government relations professionals.

Paul joined America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) in December 2013 as Regional Director, State Affairs. Paul previously served as the Director of State Government Relations for Chesapeake Energy Corporation; Director of Government Relations for The Nature Conservancy; and Senior Director of Advocacy for the American Heart Association. Paul has worked as a contract lobbyist and a senior legislative staffer for both Republican and Democratic elected officials in New York State. Paul has an extensive background in public policy development, campaign planning, media advocacy, grassroots engagement and direct lobbying.

Throughout his career, Paul has worked extensively on health, labor, housing, energy and environmental issues. Paul earned a BA in Political Science from the University at Albany.

John AugustineMarcellus Shale Coalition

John has extensive experience, particularly with economic/workforce development and supply chain related issues and is responsible for engaging key stakeholders in northeast Pennsylvania. John works with business, industry, education, government and the community to represent the Coalition and strengthen the industry’s voice and regional presence. Previously, John served as the senior economic development official at the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber. A lifelong resident of NEPA and a graduate of King’s College, where he received a B.A. in Mass Communications, John serves on several regional boards. In addition to the Marcellus Shale Coalition, John has served as adjunct faculty member at King’s College, Penn State and Luzerne County Community College. He is also President/CEO of Global InfoNet - an internet marketing and website development firm.

Allen ColemanUGI Energy Services

Mr. Coleman has more than 5 years of experience in the energy industry, including a wide range of roles and responsibilities. In his current capacity as Manager – Midstream Business Development for UGI Energy Services, Mr. Coleman identifies and pursues new midstream business opportunities including managing initial project development efforts, cost studies and financial modeling. He has also worked on previous projects in developing partnership arrangements for purposes of marketing and developing new midstream projects. Mr. Coleman is part of a midstream team that has successfully developed over $300MM in new midstream capital investment projects over the past few years.
