The index closed in the green for the seventh consecutive day. For the bulls to remain in control, the index has to hold above 11,880 levels on a closing basis. The index is likely to trade in a range, as it is trading near crucial resistance levels but there is plenty of action that will be centred around stock-specific opportunities. The bulls appear to be dragging their feet on the upside, as the market remained listless for major part of the trading session, after witnessing a buoyant opening, which resulted in the slightly longer upper shadow and resembles a Shooting Star formation. In the next trading session, if bears manage to pull down the indices below 11,905 levels for at least 30 minutes then it can induce more selling pressure on an intraday basis until 11,900-11,840, whereas short term weakness can get confirmed on a close below 11,890 levels while on the higher side immediate resistance can be seen near 12,000-12,080. Traders to remain neutral on the index and to shift focus on stock-specific opportunities. The Bank Nifty continued its positive momentum for the seventh consecutive session and headed towards 30,600 zones. However, it failed to hold on to its gains and closed flat near 30,300 zones. Supports are gradually shifting higher and now the Bank Nifty has to hold above 30,000 zones to head towards major swing high of 30,500-30,800 zones, while on the downside, support is seen at 30,000-29750 levels. Nifty Short Term Trend

The Nifty closed above 11,900 levels on November 4 but

formed a small-bodied candle that resembles a ‘Shooting Star’

formation. The index closed in the green for the seventh

consecutive day. For the bulls to remain in control, the index

has to hold above 11,880 levels on a closing basis. The index is

likely to trade in a range, as it is trading near crucial resistance

levels but there is plenty of action that will be centred around

stock-specific opportunities. The bulls appear to be dragging

their feet on the upside, as the market remained listless for

major part of the trading session, after witnessing a buoyant

opening, which resulted in the slightly longer upper shadow

and resembles a Shooting Star formation. In the next trading

session, if bears manage to pull down the indices below 11,905

levels for at least 30 minutes then it can induce more selling

pressure on an intraday basis until 11,900-11,840, whereas

short term weakness can get confirmed on a close below

11,890 levels while on the higher side immediate resistance can

be seen near 12,000-12,080. Traders to remain neutral on the

index and to shift focus on stock-specific opportunities.

The Bank Nifty continued its positive momentum for the

seventh consecutive session and headed towards 30,600 zones.

However, it failed to hold on to its gains and closed flat near

30,300 zones. Supports are gradually shifting higher and now

the Bank Nifty has to hold above 30,000 zones to head towards

major swing high of 30,500-30,800 zones, while on the

downside, support is seen at 30,000-29750 levels.

Financial & Economic Wrap Up

ArcelorMittal, on November 4, said it was pulling out

of the purchase of Italy's struggling steel firm Ilva after

parliament scrapped a legal protection deemed

necessary to undertake crucial environmental work

without criminal liability. The Taranto site is at the

centre of a huge legal case in which experts cited by

prosecutors have said some 7,500 people were killed

in the area over seven years by diseases linked to toxic

emissions.

Listed Indian firms' employees, including foreign

nationals, are required to follow the code of conduct

while trading in American Depository Receipts (ADRs)

and Global Depository Receipts (GDRs), the Securities

and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) said on November

4. Trading in such depository receipts is covered under

the Prohibition of Insider Trading (PIT) Regulations,

SEBI clarified.

The Reserve Bank on November 4 issued

compensation guidelines for whole-time directors and

chief executives of foreign, private, small finance,

payments banks and local area banks mandating the

cash component of variable pay at 67 percent. Banks

should continue to formulate and adopt a

comprehensive compensation policy covering all their

employees and conduct annual reviews, RBI said,

adding the new guidelines will be effective next April.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on November 4 said it is

recalling a limited batch of XUV300 vehicles to fix a

faulty suspension component. The proactive

inspection and replacement of the component would

be carried on a limited batch of compact SUV that was

manufactured till May 19, 2019. "This is in keeping

with the company's customer-centric approach. The

inspection and subsequent rectification will be carried

out free of cost for all XUV300 customers, who will be

individually contacted by the company".

Drug firm Zydus Cadila on November 4 said it has

received a warning letter from the US health regulator

for its Moraiya-based formulation facility. The

company said it has already taken multiple steps after

the inspection of the facility by the US Food and Drug

Administration (USFDA) and would continue to take all

necessary steps in future as well to ensure that the

health regulator is fully satisfied with its remediation

of the above facility.
