1.1.4 Talk about a stimulus with guidance.

c) Giving True/False replies

Specific Objective (Learning Objectives): By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

1. Matching at least 2 out of 4 based family members’ word cards to the correct picture.

2. Write correctly 3 out of 5 ‘True’ or ‘False’ replies in a worksheet.

Previous Experience/Knowledge: Know how to address their family members.

Moral value: We need to have a good relationship with our cousins and neighbor.

1. Teacher greets the student.

2. Teacher starts the class by showing pictures of the member of the family to students.

3. Teacher asked students to identify each of the family members from the pictures.

4. Teacher asks some students to write the member name of their family on the white board.

5. Students take turn to write the member name of their family on the white board.

7. Teacher checks students’ spelling.

Rationale: To get students ready with the topic of the lesson

Presentation(15 minutes)

Whole class activity.

Teaching aids:Picture of family members.

e.g:-grandfather-grandmother-father-mother-brother-sister-uncle-aunt-cousin

1. Teacher shows a picture of a family and says :“Encik Putra is Zarif and Zara’s uncle”

2. Teacher shows picture card of a family.

3. Teacher asks students to guess the name of the family members.

3. Teacher pastes the word cards of the correct family members on the whiteboard.

4. Students read the word cards aloud.

Rationale: To get students to brainstorm their thoughts.

Practice( 25 minutes)

Whole class activity.

Teaching aids:Word cards of family members:

1. Teacher introduces a sentence pattern to the students.

Sentence pattern :Encik Halim is Emir’s uncle.

2. Students read aloud the sentence pattern with teacher’s guide.

Rationale: To reinforce the students through drilling.

Production( 10 minutes)

Individual activity.

Teaching aids:Worksheet (appendix 1)– Fill in the blanks

1. Teacher distributes the worksheet for each student.

2. Teacher asks students to complete the worksheet individually.

3. Teacher discusses the answer after the students have finished the worksheet.

Rationale: To reinforce the students through exercises.

Closure( 5 minutes)

Whole class activity.

1. Teacher concludes the lesson by letting the students to spell the words.

2. Teacher introduces the moral value to the students.

2. Teacher asks the students to do the exercise in the activity books.

Rationale: To test the students understanding to the subject matter.

Follow- up activity: Exercise in activity books.

Self-evaluation / reflection: Overall, the lesson when on well. The students are bit passive and shy to speak

up their ideas. They are also very soft spoken that is hard to hear them. This

class is quite good and I think I will be able to plan fun activity for them.
