Restorative Practices
SOCIAL DISCIPLINE WINDOW
The fundamental unifying hypothesis of restorative practices is that "human beings are happier, more cooperative and productive, and more likely to make positive changes in their behavior when those in positions of authority do things with them, rather than to them or for them.“ (Wachtel, 2005).
Restorative Practices Continuum
Affective statements: using “I” statements and feelings to humanize speaker and describe how someone is being impacted by behavior/situations.
Affective questions: open ended questions designed to encourage people to share their thoughts and feelings about a conflict situation and also understand the impact this situation has had on others.

Internship Program
Step #1: Students receive materials on February 24.
Step # 2: Fill out Sophomore course request sheet (CRS) and Four Year Plan by reading catalog and reviewing transcript
Step #3: Students obtain signatures from teachers and parent
Step #4: Students sign up for courses on Q SudentConnect account (pins and passwords distributed with CRS ).
Step #5: Turn in hard copy in PE classes on March 12
