a) Design of Curriculum
Was nominated member of Core committee constituted by Head, Department of Botany
to formulate course structure of erstwhile B.Sc. Four Year Undergraduate Programme in
Botany (2013).
Participated in the workshop entitled ‘Development of online quizzes in Life Sciences’at
the ‘Institute of Lifelong Learning, University of Delhi on April 8, 9, 2009, and
subsequently contributed to development of the same as a resource person as well as
reviewer.
Participated in the nine-day workshop on ‘The New Botany Syllabus- Challenges Ahead’
organized by the Centre for Science Education and Communication (CSEC) from 29th
March to 8th April, 2004. Was nominated Convener of sub-committee constituted for
restructuring of Ecology course of B.Sc. (Hons.) and B.Sc. (Life Sc.).
Was convener of sub-committee constituted by Head, Department of Botany, University
of Delhi for restructuring of Ecology course of B.Sc. (Hons.) 2001.
Was convener of sub-committee constituted for restructuring of Ecology course of B.Sc.
(Hons.) as part of workshop organized by Centre for Science Education and
Communication on restructuring of Botany Syllabus at under-graduate level for Honours
course held at Kirori Mal College, Univ. of Delhi from Dec. 20-22, 1994. Was member of

b) Teaching Methods
1. Teaching methods: Was the first to use Power Point Presentations for routine Class
Room teaching in Department of Botany, Daulat Ram college. Presently regularly
teaching through PPTs in addition to standard lectures and use of charts, models, etc.
2. Field work: Actively engaged in study of biodiversity and ecological studies in and
around Delhi, Mussoorie, Nainital, Dalhousie, Shimla. Participated in student excursions
to these places. Leader of student excursions to Dalhousie (1995, 2004), Nainital (2001,
2003, 2007), Mussoorie (2009).
3. Organized and/or participated in
Tree Plantation Programme of Kamla Nehru Ridge organized by Centre for Management
of Degraded Ecosystems and Yamuna Biodiversity Park for colleges of Delhi University on
October 1, 2014.
Visits to various institutes and organizations engaged in research in syllabus related
