Hot Bitumen Sample SkidThis project included the custody transfer sam-pling and product measurement of 149°C bitumen. The project consists of complex sample handling and cooling for transportation and lab analysis.
Gas Storage Tridyne provided Owner project management services in the EPCM contractors shop for this Gas Storage Project. The storage formation was a depleted Viking gas pool.
The facility was designed for a maximum of 20,000 e3m3/d of gas withdrawal and injection. Compression consisted of a total of 27,000 HP of electric motor driven reciprocating compres-sors. Dehydration and dewpoint control was with the use of a short cycle desiccant.
Truck Unload and Transfer Station The project included the green field design and construction of a truck unload and transfer station with twin 7 km pipelines to an existing waste processing facility. Work included green field site/civil development, truck unloading and metering, product storage and pumping.

Tridyne uses the latest 3D modeling software to develop its conceptual designs and uses automated programs to develop construction drawings from the finished models. This approach ensures that a cost effective and competent set of construction documents are delivered to the construction team which allows a faster turnaround in the shop or field. The use of 3D software also provides an effective tool to facilitate model reviews where operations can visualize the finished plant earlier in the project for timely input and buy in.

Hot tapping which is under pressure drilling employed as a means of providing a branch connection to a live pipe in constant operation, where the consequences of a shutdown would not be practical is often undertaken when adding a meter at an operating facility. Always ensure that workers performing hot tapping procedures are certified as errors could be catastrophic. At home, it is important to ensure that prior to proceeding with any work that could portentially damage pipes or utility lines that every precatution is taken tto ensure one’s own safety and that of your neighbors.
