Why do the Kazakhs in Mongolia have an eagle as a pet? Where exactly is Polynesia and how did people end up there? How do you survive in the desert if you don’t have water with you? How do you build an igloo and keep yourself from freezing while sleeping in Siberia?

Everywhere in the world, people live differently and look different. Just like you, people do not always wear their best clothes. When it is your birthday, for example, or there is a special holiday, you often wear something special. This is also the case with some of the people in the photos and videos that you will see in the Cult-Ed classes; they only wear their traditional and most beautiful clothes at a party or a ceremony. Others of them wear these clothes more often or always because of the climate. For instance, without warm fur clothes, you will not survive the cold winter outside in Siberia at minus 60°C.

Everyone is different, and there is something to discover or learn

2. Traditions and CulturesA tradition is a familiar custom, a custom that often exsists for centuries in a certain country, area or region.

The traditions, in combination with religions, norms and values, and language of a country or region, determine the culture. They also determine how people view certain things. Can you give an example of a tradition?

Culture is everything that is made and produced by man, i.e. objects (material culture) as well as things that are conceived (ideas, theories, laws, norms and the like). Culture is therefore opposed to nature, which was created without human intervention.(source: www.wikikids.nl)
