PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONThe 2SP0320 is the ultimate driver platformfor PrimePACKTM and equivalent IGBT modules various manufacturers. As a mem-ber of the CONCEPT plug-and-play driver fa-mily, it satisfies the requirements for optimi-zed electrical performance and noiseimmunity. The highly integrated SCALE-2® chipset re-duces the component count by 80% compa-red to conventional solutions, thus signifi-cantly increasing reliability and reducingcosts.
Thanks to SCALE-2® technology, the2SP0320 family comprises complete and extremely compact two-channel IGBT driversequipped with DC/DC converters, short-circuit protection, advanced active clampingand supply-voltage monitoring.
The embedded paralleling capability allowseasy inverter design covering higher powerratings. Specifically adapted drivers are avail able for all module types. All drivers areavailable with electrical and fiber-optic inter-faces.
The driver contains all necessary com -ponents for optimal and safe driving of therelevant IGBT module: smallest gate resis-tors in order to minimize switching losses,gate clamping, active-clamping diodes (over-voltage protection at turn-off), Vce monito-ring (short-circuit protection) as well as theelectrical connector input X1. Moreover, it in-cludes components for setting the turn-offtrip level, the response time and the deadtime between both channels in half-bridgemode. Its plug-and-play capability meansthat it is ready to operate immediately aftermounting. The user needs invest no effort indesigning or adjusting the driver to a specificapplication.
