the Lord! Can you believe that this year is almost

gone?  I heard it said and I’m saying now, “The older

I get, the faster times goes by.” With saying that, it

should encourage us to take the remaining time God

has given us and to use it wisely. The Christmas

season is upon us - it is such a special time to share

our faith. People seem to have more of an openness to

hear the gospel at this time of year. Be bold and share

the Good News!

Dear Friends & Family, We returned from a great trip to the Western States the end of June. We were booked in the Caribou Country in BC but all of our bookings were cancelled due to the fires mostly around the Williams Lake area. We were booked on some Reserves, Jamboree/Revival, some churches. I’m happy to say that the most of what was cancelled is rescheduled for 2018. The places where we were booked were spared from fire, praise the Lord, however not everyone can say that and those who have lost their homes and worse, we need to continue to pray for those directly and indirectly effected.

In the first part of July, I had a bad fall and really damaged both my rotator cuffs. I have been going to the hospital twice a week for Physiotherapy when we are home. I’m feeling much better now but still have a way to go for full recovery. The good news is that the injury has not stopped us from doing ministry.

We had a very successful Fundraiser at the end of August and had a wonderful turnout! Again, THANKYOU to everyone who came and supported us, for the donations for the silent auction, to all the volunteers who helped make it happen. What a blessing you are to us and your love for God is evident through your service of worship.

The following Sunday we were in the town of Sedgewick, AB at The Church of the Nazarene. This was our second time there and the Lord really blessed the meeting. A woman around 30 gave her heart to Jesus and many more were really encouraged. The pastor later said he wanted to bring us back on a more regular basis. After church we went out for lunch and ended up leading the owner of the restaurant to Jesus. It was a great day to see God move in people’s lives

On one 6 week tour, we drove over 14,000 Kilometres. We are so thankful to have an excellent mechanic keeping our vehicle in great shape. We have over 300,000 Kilometres on the Suburban and I think it will last for another couple of years anyway. This was a very different tour and we were both blessed and learned many new things. God is sovereign, He has a plan, and it is a privilege to serve Him.

Our first Christmas appointment for the season was at Living Stones Church in Red Deer. Whenever we minister we generally give an opportunity for people to give their hearts to Jesus. Often times there are many who make the commitment to Jesus while others are taken back that I would give the invitation at all. Some even say it’s been years since they’d heard anyone preach a salvation message, let alone give an invitation for salvation! Be bold in Jesus name! Share your faith and ask people if they would like to become a Christian. This is the best time of year to share Jesus!

We were invited to go to Johnston, Rhode Island to minister at Trinity Assembly of God in September. We were there for two Sundays and did ministry during the week. I also met a number of pastors that may have us come to minister at their churches on our next visit. We are thankful for our time of ministry there. (see photos right)

One highlight this Fall is that we were invited to minister at a

cowboy church in Viking, Alberta at the Auction Mart. We both ministered in the auction pen

where earlier in the day we were told they ran a 1000 head of cattle through.  At the last minute the Lord changed my message and I spoke on “fear”. You never know who the message is for, but I’ve

learned to go with the direction of the Holy Spirit and you can’t go wrong. We found out later it was

for a number of people.

•For open doors to sing in the market place•That the new converts will be discipled in a timely manner•That God will lead us to where we are most effective•That God would expand our territory•That we would see more people come to Jesus•That believers would come alive in their faith•That the Holy Spirit would have his way in our services and wherever we are lead •That there would be those who would prayerfully consider giving on a monthly basis through MSC
