Crosby PS. throughout the 2011 -2012 school year. During her time at Crosby she proved to be a very valuable member of our school community. She entered our class with an open mind, and an optimistic enthusiasm that was contagious. Priya capably assembled unit plans that included clear expectations derived from the Ontario curriculum. Her lessons incorporated various teaching methodologies and a variety of assessments. She demonstrated the ability to create meaningful, engaging lessons that challenged the students. She circulated continuously as students worked to assist and encourage individuals as needed. Priya used excellent cooperative learning strategies and maintained a tribes environment through continuous reinforcement of the tribes agreements. She fostered a climate of mutual respect and caring for each individual in the class. Priya consistently used a positive manner and tone regarding her expectations in behaviour. Priya conducted herself in a professional manner while teaching at Crosby. She reflected upon lessons taught with an aim to improving subsequent lessons. She showed flexibility and adaptability, and willingly accepted advice and shared her ideas and learning experiences with other teachers. Priya possesses a natural, positive presence in the classroom. She brought energy and enthusiasm to the learning community. She will no doubt be a welcome addition to any staff. May 21, 2012 To Whom It May Concern:

I had the opportunity to work with Priya Mathur during her placement at Roy H. Crosby PS. throughout the 2011 -2012 school year.
