SAY (say/said/said) DIRE (dire / dit / dit )
We use say when we report someone’s words.( Nous utilisons «say» quand nous rapportons les mots de quelqu'un.) • She said, ‘This is horrible.’• He said that he wanted a drink.
We use say when we ask about language.(Nous utilisons «say» quand nous nous interrogeons sur une traduction.)
• How do you say ‘book’ in French ?
When we use this greetings, we use: say hello /goodbye/ thank you/ Happy Birthday / Congratulations.
(Lorsque nous demandons d’utiliser ces salutations, nous utilisons «say»: bonjour / au revoir /merci / Joyeux anniversaire / félicitations.)
