Sub : Inter University West Zone Cricket (M) Tournament, 2010-11

Dear Sir,

I am happy to inform you that the Association of Indian

Universities, New Delhi has entrusted the responsibility of organizing the

Inter-University West Zone Cricket (M) Tournament, 2010-11 to the Veer

Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat.

I have great pleasure in extending an invitation on behalf of

Organizing Committee to your University to participate in this

Tournament. West Zone Inter University Cricket (M) Tournament will be

commence from 12th December, 2010.

The other instructions are given below for your ready reference.

1) All players are required to bring their identity Card of the

Current session duly signed by the Registrar / Sports Officer /

Director Sports of the concerned university.

2} Managers are requested to submit quaduplicate (four) copies of

eligibility proforma of their players along with, no objection

(those who are employed in full time) certificate to theorganizing secretary immediately on arrival or day before the

commencement of their first Match.

3) Managers are required to bring one Flag of their university.

4) Only unfurnished accommodation will be provided to the teams.

The teams are expected to bring their own beding. A Security

Deposit of Rs. 1,000/- per team will have to be deposited at the

time of occupying the accommodation and it will be refunded

after the clearance given by the Accommodation in charge.

5) Beds could be provided to the participatling team on hire on

advance intimation.6) Participating teams are requested to bring their own locks.

7) It wil l be the sole responsibility of the participating teams to see

that no demage to the property is caused at the place of their

lodging and to maintiain absolute discipline among their team

members.

8) Meeting o f the Team managers will be held at the respective

venues on 11th December, 2010 at 5.00 p.m. Sharp at Veer

Narmad South Gujarat University Sports Complex and other two

respective venues.9) Decisions of the Tournaments Committee on all matters relating

to the competition and tournament shall be final and binding to

all participating Universities.

10) All participating universities are requested to intimate well in

advance regarding their arrival details i.e. Time, Train, Railway

Terminus etc.

11) Each University have to pay the Umpire charges brfore

commencement of each match as per the guidelines of AIU.

12) Expenses on account of local transport will have to borne by the

participating teams concerned.

13) Catering facilities will be arranged at the request basis at

playing venues.

14) Cricket Ball: S. G. Tournament Special Cricket ball will be

provided by the organizing university on payment and only these

balls will have to be used compulsory for all the matches.

15) A copy of draws is enclosed herewith for your information &

necessary action.

16) All the matches shall be played as per existing one day rules

adopted by the BCCI.

17) Umpire decision will be final.

18) Please strictly note that In Gujarat PROHIBITION Act Prevails.19) All Universities should pay entry fee accoding to AIU rules of Rs.

1,000/- if not submitted to AIU.

Very Important Information for Universities of Pool C & D

1) Matches of Pool C will be played at Ground No. 8,9 & 10 at

Navsari.

2) Matches of Pool D wil be played at Ground No. 11,12,13 & 14 at

Kholwad.

3) Navsari is 37 Km. and Kholwad is 17 Km. away from the Surat.

Team may reach directely at the place or may step down at

Surat.
