Creating a new database From the opening screen select New Database and enter in a name
Click create

The following appears:
Enter in the required fields Always leave the ID field

Change any properties as required Each field can have a property. Change as required.
When all the fields are entered click on the X at the top right hand corner to close it off

You will be asked to save the table. At this point give it a meaningful name. Click OK Create a form The easiest way to enter in data is to create a form. Click on the Create menu and then choose More Forms, Form Wizard

Decide on fields to include Normally you will bring all the fields across from the left hand side to the right hand side.

It is not necessary to bring the ID field over so scroll to the top the screen and click once on it Then bring it from the right hand side back to the left hand side

Choose a layout Remember different layouts will show the information in a different manner
Click Next

Choose a style On this screen you can choose a style for your form
Click Next

Name Your Report Give your report a name
Click Finish Enter in data in form Your form will appear you can now enter in data

To enter in a new record click the tab key at the end of the last bit of information that you entered i.e. Lake Floor or click on the little icon with a yellow star beside it. Creating a Report A report allows you to display information in a more presentable fashion Click on the Create menu Choose Report Wizard

Bring across the required fields as before. Click on Next

From the screen below click on Next

You can choose the layout of the report from the screen below:
Once you’ve decided on the layout click on Next to proceed

You can now choose a style:

Clicking Next will bring up the following screen:
Type in the name for the report Click the Finish button Your report now appears:
Note the three icons on the left hand side.

Modifying a Report Firstly assuming you have just created the report close off the Print Preview by clicking on the button to the right hand side of the ribbon:
The screen should now appear:
If the view is not the same click on the View button on the left of this menu. Close off the Field List panel if it showing on the right hand side.

The screen below will expand to take up most of the window
Drag the headings out to make them larger or inwards to make it smaller Changing the text in the Report Header Click into the text in the header Wait for the insertion point to appear Change the heading:
