The events of the past few months have put everything on hold for many of us, including some of our pro-health behaviors. The stress of unprecedented and unknown times has also had unknown and likely detrimental effects on our health during the pandemic, though ironically those who have health problems are at the highest risk for complications from not only COVID-19, but other infectious diseases. As we begin to slowly reengage in our normal activities it will be important to take control of our health to not only feel better right away, but to reduce our risk in the future.

To meet the health and social needs of those in our communities, PPHD will kickoff an online program called Stay Home Slim Down on Wednesday, June 24 at noon. This workshop offers 16 weekly online coaching sessions, with bi-monthly follow up sessions for the first year and ongoing access to the coach. This program follows an evidence-based curriculum that has been proven to work and is flexible enough to meet individual needs.

Participants will benefit from Stay Home Slim Down by learning to overcome challenges with getting physical activity, healthy eating, and lifestyle supports such as creating better sleep habits, overcoming triggers, managing stress, and staying motivated.

Please click below to register for the kickoff session June 24th at noon and share with others you think would be interested. Once you are registered, you will receive an email with the required forms to fill out. You can send back via mail, fax, or email. We can’t wait to see you there! http://events.constantcontact.com/register/event?llr=hxs9f6cab&oeidk=a07eh4nlp9267dee6a6
