My university tutor, Sally Holland, from the Public Relations and Communication course,

suggested I contact you regarding a possible two weeks work placement at your firm,

Carswell Gould.

I am currently a PR and Communication second year student, at Southampton Solent

University, with solid interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a

whole range of people. I also have strong talents in writing press releases, organising PR

campaigns and dealing with event management; my organisational skills have allowed me to

prioritise schedules and complete projects within time. As I am fluent in English, Romanian,

Spanish and German, this certainly makes me the right person to communicate and interact

with people in an international context. Finally, my IT skills in using Photoshop, Quark

Express, Power Point, Picasa, etc. can turn me into an even more valuable asset inside your

company, Carswell Gould.

I was particularly fond of your Gore-Tex Arctic Challenge, as I considered it a fun and

entertaining way of promoting RIBs; the social media activities, photography, or press

releases were some of the areas I would have enjoyed working on. In addition, Carswell

Gould raised my interest as it provides solutions for strategic planning, PR & events or

marketing training, some of my key areas of interest for the future.

I know I will make a positive contribution to ‘Carswell Gould’ and Iook forward to discussing
