Your course is delivered as blended learning including state of the art online learning platform the Evolve Hub as well as a series of face-to-face training classes. Face-to-face training classes are delivered in two day blocks approximately every 3-4 weeks.

Our course structure is designed to support you and your learning. For all students this includes:

• 5 different types of clinical training supervised and assessed by an Evolve College Trainer and Assessor, designed to develop you as a massage therapist

Please note: minimum 12 months is required to be able to achieve all of the possible private health fund provider numbers. Be aware that courses offered in a shorter timeframe will not achieve this status.

// Private Health Funds Private health funds can enable members of the fund to obtain a rebate on remedial massage by approved providers. Private health funds set requirements which therapists must meet in order to be an approved provider. In the massage industry, Medibank Private sets the benchmark for education required to attain approved provider status. For instance, study of the Diploma course is required by Medibank Private to be on campus. Private health fund requirements can be changed at the discretion of the private health fund at any time. 1. Up-front Payment

Paying for the course up-front at enrolment. This has the benefit of securing your place in the whole course as well as giving you access to all of your materials. This is currently our students preferred payment option.

2. Payment Plan

Evolve College offers a three part payment plan for those who are wanting to pay fee for service but need to pay in instalments. This applies to enrolments in the HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage only. The payment plan splits your course fees into three equal parts to be paid throughout your course. With a payment plan you will still enrol into the complete course and be invoiced by Evolve College for your study period prior to commencement. With a payment plan you are still committed to the full course fee but instead of paying upfront it will be spread over your study period. You will receive an invoice for each payment and study period:

3. VET Student Loan

The VET Student Loans (VSL) program is an Australian Government loan program that helps students who meet eligibility requirements and who are enrolled in approved courses to pay their tuition fees. Evolve College Pty Ltd (RTO 41035) is an approved VSL provider for the HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage. Students may apply to the Government for a loan, and VET Student Loans will not be approved for students who do not meet eligibility requirements. If approved, the Government will pay the loaned amount directly to Evolve College (as an approved VSL provider). If you apply for a loan for less than the fee for your course, you will be responsible to pay the gap amount in the tuition fees which are not covered by the loan. Once entering into the loan, you will owe a debt to the Australian Government for the loan amount until the debt is repaid. That debt will be managed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). The ATO administers repayment of the loan when your income reaches a certain threshold as dictated by the Australian Government. Before applying for a VET Student Loan you should read the important information contained in the Evolve College VSL Student Information Sheet, downloadable from www.evolvecollege.com/policies.

Strengthening and conditioning is a new area for the massage industry. After years of treating clients with many different presentations, we came to realise the importance of supporting clients with ongoing maintenance and the health of the area treated. We would often tell clients to work on their posture in order to not cause an issue to re-occur only to have the client presenting with the same issue again. Strengthening and conditioning addresses this factor. In this subject you will learn resisted movement training to help clients work on their strength and stability, supporting them to have the ability to actually maintain the new prescribed posture.

Clinical reasoning is a subject where we explore the rationale for building a treatment plan. This includes the plan for single and multiple treatments. After you have learnt your clinical assessment and can identify key features of the client’s ailment and presentation you will, in this subject, learn how to use those details to determine factors including: area to be treated, pressure, speed, frequency, duration, contraindications and other factors relevant to the treatment approach. I HAVEN’T STUDIED FOR YEARS, ARE THERE ANY EXAMS?

Don’t worry! To get you into the massage industry as quickly as possible you simply need practical skills and the required knowledge that goes with those. We don’t have stressful, written tests or exams! You participate in relevant knowledge checks, practical evaluations and online learning experiences. We give you everything you need to know, so you learn only the material that you need. Once competent, you will leave Evolve College ‘job ready’.

IF I MOVE, CAN MY COURSE MOVE WITH ME?

Yes! With training centres Australia-wide, you can organise a transfer from any location! You can even defer your course to take time off for any reason.
