Counseling ethics for effec-
tive counselor
To meet the growing needs that different professionals are experiencing
in their work situations for systematic training to counsel and enhance
human relations.
A fter the industrial and
IT growth, counselling
has become a highly essential
integral part of all institu-
tions whether it’s higher or
school education. Today life
demands performance and
every aspect of life is meas-
ured.
It seems that no major life
event, whether Joyous or
Traumatic, can take place
without being accompanied
by an offer of Counseling.
This growth has extended up
to the work place. Here effec-
tive Principal, HOD, Profes-
sor, Lecturer or Administra-
tor have adopted the very
best of counselling skill and
adapted them to improve
face to face communication
with their staff and students.
The result is not strictly
counselling in the profession-
al sense but a way of manag-
ing people that we can call
"The Counseling Approach".
When it comes to handling
difficult people problems that
affect the health, productivity
and well-being of employees,
past models of telling people
what to do, followed by disci-
pline and ultimately punish-
ment such as dismissal, are
no longer acceptable.
Using a Professional Ap-
proach, with the use of
known skill at work, and
which treat people with dig-
nity, respect, and valuing, is
the only course that can suc-
ceed. This is the promise and
reward that comes from
learning the Skill of the
Counseling. In the light of
the above counseling course
is being offered at helikx.
