Program Planning…systems engineering method to program architecture and planning

CORTAC implements a systems engineering approach forManagement and Integration of tasks crucial to the success ofprogram execution.

The Program Plan begins with the identification of top-levelcontract, project milestones and deliverables which represent theprogram strategy.

Risk parameters are documented as three-point durations and a level of confidence (High, Medium, and Low).

A Schedule Risk Assessment is performed against the entire project or against specific events/milestones.

SRA serves as tool for program managementin assessing the probability of overrunning the cost andschedule requirements.

Risk analysis provides a validation ofschedule margin and management reserveto the program management team.

Change Management…Provides a process to control changes to the plan

Cost and schedule change control process is used to establish, analyze, communicateand record approved changes to the plan.
