CORPORATE PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICES A musculoskeletal screen is a physical assessment of a prospective employee’s capacity to perform the physical tasks demanded by the role and can be combined with a comprehensive pre-employment medical if required. These are completed by our highly qualified physiotherapists who conduct a series of tests designed to mirror the physical requirements related to the industry/job that the candidate is applying for. Following this, a comprehensive report is created detailing all assessment results and recommendations. Category A and B musculoskeletal assessment includes: Range of movement Functional activities Safe lifting practises Category A musculoskeletal also includes an additional: Cardiovascular fitness bike test Strength (upper/lower limb and core) Why is it important? Systematic risk management strategy in preventing workplace injury Improved productivity of workers through reduced turnover and time lost from injury/illness Reduction in costs from worker’s compensation premiums and rehiring Higher corporate reputation through increased transparency, quality and retention of workers. At Castle Hill Medical Centre, all our physiotherapists are Work Cover Accredited (SIRA approved) where they have a wealth of experience in treating patients both under Workers Compensation and CTP Schemes. Our physiotherapists aim to utilise evidence-based treatments to maximise recovery and to help injured workers overcome barriers to return to work. This is conducted in liaison with the support team (nominated treating doctor and the insurer case manager) to ensure holistic safe, timely and sustainable return to work. Recommended stretches to help reduce injury risk

Upper back stretchBend elbows and pull back at shoulder blades as far as possible.

Return arms to the front and repeat 10 to 15 times.

Low back stretchPlace hands on back of hips and lean backwards while lifting chest. Hold for 30 seconds.

Return to upright position and repeat 3 to 4 times.

Shoulder & upper backStand straight with arms relaxed at the sides.

Roll shoulders in a backwards motion 10 to 15 times.

Side lungeLunge slowly to the left and hold in position for 30 seconds. Return to the upright position.

Repeat to the right side. Repeat sequence 3 to 4 times.

Lateral back stretchBend smoothly to the left side and return to the middle position.

Bend to the right side and repeat 3 to 4 times.
