All existing Safeguarding contact details
and reporting of concerns remain in place.
DSL to keep Safeguarding Governor
informed with any updates.

their hands. When they have finished
playing with the equipment it will be
washed and sterilized by the day cleaners
before returning to the selection for other
children.
Year 1 will be provided with a stationery
set in a pot which will remain on their

sharpening. Sharpening will occur once a
day after an adult has cleaned their hands
and wiped the equipment down with
sanitiser.
Year 2/3/4/5-Pupils will be split into four
“bubbles” within their year group that they

session
Year 7-9. In order to enable some face to
face provision one tutor class will be on
site at any time. No more than 16 pupils
(25% of the cohort) will be on site at any
time. . Individual classes will be the
responsibility of their form teacher whilst
on site. However, this assumes ALL
pupils come on site. Numbers may in
reality be lower.

Risk Assessment COVID 19 re-opening of school Phase Three
16
5 Should the needs of each age group and class be considered separately in terms of support, activities and facilities?
Nursery – Nursery children will not be
able to socially distance during the large
majority of their day except for meal
times/sleep times due to their age and
understanding. Our focus will be ensuring
that the staff are able to socially distance.

the beginning and the end of the day for
planning and further cleaning.
Bottles of hand sanitiser to be placed in
each room in the Nursery.
Rec /Y1/Y2 – Reception, Year 1 and Year

spreading them out across the two
classrooms into smaller “bubbles” this will
help.

their four “bubbles” inside and out. When
outside they will be encouraged to think of
games to play at SD - hoop/skipping
challenges. Hand washing on a regular
basis will be required and pupils will be

the SD measures in place.
8 Are sporting, play and SD rules clear to staff and pupils?
Nursery – These are clear to staff and as
clear as they can be to under 5’s.
Toys/resources will be cleaned after each
use but children will struggle to
understand the concept of not sharing,
something that they are encouraged to do
every day so staff will need to be vigilant.
Rec / Y1/Y2 - Teachers will talk through
the way that they will need to play and
SD. We will take the girls on walks in their
“bubbles” alternating with the same year
group “bubble” to limit the amount of time
they are on the same playground.
Y3/4/5/6, Y7-10 & Key Worker

10 How are staff meetings and staff rooms regulated in terms of space, equipment, resources (copiers, kettles, biscuits etc) timings, SD and purpose?
Breakfast and lunch will not be provided
for staff.
Staff coming onto site need to provide
their own food, a water bottle and their
own mug that they wash and reuse. Staff
can bring in a flask with a hot drink if they
prefer.
Staff may make tea/coffee in three
locations only:
Nursery Staffroom
St Nick’s Hall Kitchen
Main House kitchen
There will be a strict “one in one out”
policy. Staff must not enter these areas if
someone else is in there. Staff must wipe
any surfaces they touch whilst making
refreshments in their own mug.
Sanitising spray and paper towels will be
available in these areas. Evening
cleaners to check and replenish cleaning
supplies daily.
Staff rooms will be out of bounds until
further notice.
