Conway Interfaith Clinic: Communications Intern Description The Conway Interfaith Clinic is a cooperative response to provide unmet healthcare services to those in need regardless of gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation. The clinic provides medical care for the working uninsured as well as dental care for children with ARKids or Medicaid. Internships are typically defined by a project. Currently, the clinic has several: Developing or redesigning current web page for the clinic. This position requires someone with experience in developing websites and interest in web design. Assisting with communications and development duties, program coordination, event planning and other related projects Designing and producing a marketing video for the clinic to be used for fundraising and informational purposes Students may earn up to three hours of elective credit for this internship. Work Schedule Hours are flexible. Students work with the clinic staff in Conway. Selection and Qualifications The internship is competitive, with selection based on an application portfolio highlighting solid writing skills and creative talent. To be eligible for an internship, students must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and a 3.25 in their degree program. At a minimum, applicants should have completed at least nine hours of writing courses at the 3000-level. Application Process and Deadlines To apply, submit an application package that includes: • A cover letter describing why you are interested in and qualified for this internship in publishing and editing. • Two writing or editing samples • The names, phone numbers, and email addresses of two references who know your writing, design, and/or editing abilities well. Applicants are required to submit their application materials to Dr. Kyle Mattson, Internship Coordinator, for review by a selection committee. Top candidates will be invited by the editors to interview for the position. Internship Credit Students may earn up to three hours of elective credit for the successful completion of this internship.
